To be fair, Venezuela has been on the up, and played a good game against our older squad. Besides, Peru and Bolivia <<<< Venezuela.
Peru has been absolute shit, though, in the last couple of years. Markarian is doing a good job, though.
Like Black Francis says Peru has better players but the media is horrible and the people love to buy their chismes and thus their players always get suspendend. Unfortunately Copa America is too early for the cyclical, " lets suspend our best players because of some drunken party that nobody should give a shit about". With our Senior team, we are favorites but this isn't it. Venezuela could be as good a team but the team we faced was a mixed squad and had some abscences so I do consider it less than any competition we will face in Argentina.

I guess I have to dumb down my posts for all the noobs with reading comprehension problems. There is nothing wrong with having a player of Chicharos talent in the NT but to depend on him says alot about the NT's deficiencies up top.. In the past we have had a good stream of strikers; from Hugo Sanchez to Hermosillo, Zaguinho, Luis Garcia, Luis Hernandez, Jared Borgetti; ect.. Recently, however, the NT has been in a drought.. We can see the quality of strikers drop when we go into a WC with the attacking duo of Omar Bravo and Kikin Fonseca. And the strikers that were available from 2006 up untill now did not have much to offer. Hence we end up going into the 2010 WC with the old guard of Cuauhtemoc Blanco and Guille Franco. Indeed, we are fortunate to have Cheech, especially at a young age, but we need more than one consistent striker. So, read my last part of my post; which is why I am glad to see that Aldo DeNigris has been doing good.
