Oh, did I forgot to mention how totally stoked I am at this turn of events? It is like the good old days that we do not dare mention are all of a sudden back. Muahahaha! One for the thumb! PS -- eph dem pink cows.... (sorry, my bile for that team we met in the Easter Conference semi -finals back in '96 knows no limit -- best pitch invasion ever!)
I suppose if you want to drive up on the 3rd, you can...but you'll have a long wait until the game on the 8th. On the other hand, if you leave on the 3rd, you could probably take your bicycle and have a nice leisurely trip -- about 40 miles a day?
Ooops, I got egg on my face. I'm the one who got the calendar wrong. Sorry. In my defense, your Amtrak comment led me down the wrong path. It would be highly surprising if Amtrak is still offline on Saturday.
Are you Amish!?! You travel by buggy-and-cart!?! 3 hours baby (and the others for drinking and kicking some metroscum a$$!)!
The weather brings up a point: the team won't be able to train outdoors for most of the week -- maybe the whole week. I hope they're making alternate arrangements. Maybe, they should heading west for south for a few days, instead of back to DC....
Where is the Away section in Red Bull Arena? Thinking of driving up for my birthday for my first ever away match.
I am not sure who Ben sent out to start the 2nd half for DC, but those guys are good. From minute 46 to about minute 60, the control that DC displayed was as good as any in MLS this year by any squad. Wow! When DC plays like that, we can win out. I knew this team was playoff bound July 4th. I was positive of it starting the 5 game run against the bottom feeders; but second? Shout to BMac; well done on leading the backline through these last 7 matches where we gave up 5 goals, collected 3 clean sheets and got 17 out of 21 points. Team effort to be sure, but by being ready to go for every match, BMac's effort's exemply the best in team spirit and cohesion all season long.
Best place to watch a metro game is from the safety of your own home. Less chance of coming down with any fatal disease. If you must go, you'll be in the upper deck on the far (non-bench) side behind the goal near if not in the corner. Thx, Jay!
FYI, currently the Red Bulls' ticket web site won't let you buy tickets in Section 220 (which appears to be the number for the visiting fans' section).
Did anyone see the NY-Philly game? Looking at the roster, I can't figure out how NY was playing. Not a wide player in the entire midfield, except maybe Lindpere. Did they play a box? ---------Henry-------Cooper------ ------Lindpere----------Cahill---- -------Tainio---------McCarty--- Pearce---Marq.-----Holg.---Lade Or did Cooper play wide in a 4-5-1? I don't get it.
Never mind, regarding above. The RedBull forum says McCarty is playing wide. I like that, personally, especially when a team takes a player out of a position where he's been very successful. This should play into United's hands somewhat.
haha it had range of dates but they were tied to where we ended up on table, so once you knew we were 2nd dates fell in place. (those came from FO, I didn't make them up )
Will someone post the details on this when they get it? I think I still get the roadtrip emails, but am not certain.
We'll have it in member email/facebook. SE always put it on their website/facebook/email too. Won't be hard to find
