Dodo's defensive failings are massively overemphazised, we are setting unrealistic standards because the rest of the defence is best in Europe. No one ever talks about Denis making a fool of Castan or Maicon not even bothering to jump, its always the one time the poor little Dodo was slightly out of position when in fact he had a great game

Even though he made one more by himself, he only had 1 assist

Onesta partita.
Sisenando MAICON 6,5 – Spinge, spinge, corre.

Rafael TOLOI 6,5 – Sicuro e brillante, come chi doveva sostituire.

Utile.

Daniele DE ROSSI 7,5 - Prestazione mostruosa. Leader e in gran forma.

Radja NAINGGOLAN 6,5 – Guerriero come sempre.

(Dall’87 RICCI S.V.)

ALL. Rudi GARCIA 7,5 – Giocattolo perfetto.

Why its so hard to say a good word about Dodo? He was really good today and created two really good scoring chances. People do not acknowledge that we have one of the best young LB´s in the world.

There is always a player who people think it is cool to bash, this team's is Dodo.

Tells you how far we have become, from Loria, Baptista, Taxi etc to Dodo. I have no problem with it to be honest cause I have no doubt he will come out good for us.

I liked Taxi, the kid had balls to go for something difficult even though he made mistakes. Its such a shame we sold him, he can become something special but it may take a little time.

Great game tonight. Since the topic seems to be Dodo, I'll start with him. Now I am not one of the guys that has been bashing Dodo. I think Dodo has a lot of potential and I usually cut him some slack because he's young and learning. However while he had some good moments tonight, he was bad in the defensive end. Pretty much every attack come from Dodo's side and there were quite a few occasions where he was out of position or just beaten really easily. Someone questioned why people jump on Dodo, yet don't mention Denis going around Castan, and I think it's because Castan is rock solid 99.9% of the times, so the one mistake can easily be forgiven. With Dodo though, I just don't think we can count on him in CL. He is a good young player, but it might be best to loan him out to develop and sign a quality player instead. He just will not cut it as our LB in CL. But please don't take it as blind bashing, because I believe in the kid, I just don't think he's good enough for us yet.

Ljajic, where to start, I have started giving up on him as he never seemed to learn or try to play Rudi's game. However tonight he was a completely different player, he was pressing, he came back to help out the defense, he had the ball in the box and passed it! He was just great tonight, and I wish that shot that hit the post went in. He's renewed my faith in him as he showed a lot of character making the changes in his game to please Rudi. Great game.

Gervinho, Totti and Castan were solid, I thought Toloi was good. Maicon was a beast and Taddei has been great. I thought Nainggolan wasn't great but still did well. De Rossi was my MOTM with Ljajic. De Rossi was in good form and just dominating players. Even saved a goal. Grazie Roma!

    No guys , it's fine.
Every single team picks the left side to attack when there's Dodo? Surely it's not because he is out of position 50% of the time , or because they dribble him really easily , noway.

I've given up on him many times thinking he should just give up and forget about it. At his age, most forwards (by now anyway) are retired and yet, Totti still seems to have something and proves everyone wrong....a phenomenon to say the least and only 2 years shy of his 40th BD. Incredible!

Yes so have I but he is one of a kind. A true genius. Only Italians would think about leaving a guy like him home to bring Gilardino or ********ing osvaldo.

I know he is older and and he retired from the NT 7 years ago but look at that list of 42! I mean I don't know how some deserve to be there more than he does. I'm sure there is an age discrimination not to mention others not wanting him in the team but as you say, Osvaldo over Totti? Please!

I still haven't completely written off him being there this summer. I think if he is consistent the final stretch it will definitely make CP think.

Dodo is also 10 years younger

Maicon probably wasn't any better when he was Dodo's age

For what it's worth, even Dodo himself said he stinks in defense in his post match comments.

    At age of 22:
Maicon was a no body who just moved to Monaco from Brazil.
Cafu was back up at Sao Paolo and barely played 20 games a season.

we have more league games than Portugal and Belgium

Belgium and Portugal only have 16 teams in their league

goals conceded per game is what matters more and we're 4th best in Europe

Or maybe if the options are Maicon´s side or Dodo´s side, it is an easy choice?

On the Totti topic , i HOPE they don't call him for the national team , next year we're gonna have 50-60 matches , don't want him to play at the World Cup , let him rest , he'll need a lot of energy.

De Rossi was a BEAST. Probably one of his most dominating performances that I can remember... 10/10 in my eyes
