Going to be tough with Pjanic, Destro and Florenzi all out due to suspension.

i think we should start Dodo to make up for the attacking threat we lack from Pjanic/Destro/Florenzi. Romagnoli doesn't provide much for us offensively

    MDS
    Maicon Benatia Castan Dodo
    Taddei DDR Nainggolan
    Ljajic Totti Gervinho

subs: Skorupski, Lobont, Jedvaj, Toloi, Romagnoli, Torosidis, Ricci, Mazzitelli, Di Mariano, Bastos

i want Ljajic to start but i have a feeling Rudi will start Bastos over him

I want revenge for the first game. We got robbed then and it hurt.

It would be interesting to see how many show up in the Olimpico?

I will rather start Toro than Dodo so that he can cover both offence and defence at least to some extent.

We don't really have many options for this game, the only choices Rudi will have to make is choosing between Ljajic/Bastos and Dodo/Toro/Roma. I think he will go with Bastos and Toro. Hopefully Benatia is fit for the game and no more players get injured.

It will be difficult without Pjanic and Destro, but with our current form we should be able to grind out a close win in the Olimpico.

i feared Atalanta's recent form initially

but today they lost at HOME to sassuolo. if sassuolo can manage an away win at Bergamo, they we can/should/must win at home to atalanta

We were poor in the first half but we pressed them hard in the 2nd. Castan had a clear goal disallowed in a comical way and we also had a stonewall PK not called.

With Taddei instead of Pjanic and also Bastos we will probably rely on high defensive pressure in the last 3rd and try to steal balls and convert them into goals like we did against Sassoulo. An early goal in a game like this can make everything so much easier, while failing to score in the 1st half will mean that our players won't have the same energy to push in the 2nd half and will hurt our chances a lot.

Who would've guessed, they are reviewing Destro's foul and might ban him for 3-4 games. Last week Chiellini kicked Mertines in the face but that wasn't worthy of video reviewing, not even mentioning. This league is a ********ing joke.

Benatia will be out for 2-4 weeks, just great. At least we will be able to judge Toloi better, its his chance now to show what he's made of.

FIGC and Prandelli are ********ing pathetic

They are not even making it a secret anymore:

“Those who have to verify the game will judge, then Cesare Prandelli will make his evaluations,” Federation President Giancarlo Abete told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“These incidents shouldn’t happen, but Prandelli will judge regardless of what the Disciplinary Commission says, just as he did with Daniele De Rossi.

“There are some problems for Prandelli at the moment, as there is an explosion of young talent, so the next tests will be important looking at the complex environmental conditions in Brazil.”

Because you know who can handle complex environmental conditions for sure, Balotelli, Osvaldo and freaking Chiellini.

When Balotelli does something bad, Prandelli doesnt care and still calls him up for the national team. He's such a hypocrite.

Anyone taking a look at the subtle elbows that Conti throws every time there's a man on? I thought not...

with Benatia out, we might see an all Brazilian backline

    Maicon - Toloi - Castan - Dodo

I think Dodo is 4th in the picking order for LB now, behind Alessio, Toro and Bastos. So I don't think we will see him play unless Maicon is out and Bastos is playing on the wings.

It only struck me the other day (when the insta video of Bastos dancing was posted on here) that we now have the starting full-backs of the Brazil WC 2010 team in Maicon and Bastos. To buy them at that time would've cost about north of 50m euros.

Yeah, we got Bastos about four years late. Maicon is probably as good as he was then; he's just old and we won't have him for as long as we all wish.

P.S. Prandelli has his out now. "Destro isn't in form." F*** him. He'll still score the same amount of goals as Osvaldo in those four games.
