Certainly is the match of the season, what it all comes down to in Serie A. So many years I've got myself caught up in the hype. Listening to sports stations that start bringing up "scudetto" talk after two games. It definitely went on this season, and why not? We had a deep bench, a ton of pieces for Spalletti to fill into the puzzle.

Fast forward to a little over half way through the season and the scudetto certainly seems far away. Inter is leading on us by 9 points, and our furious cyclone of opponents is just picking up. I don't think that a victory in San Siro will be the tipping point, and I don't think that should be our mentality. There are a lot of things that would need to happen after we defeat them, and this Inter is strong ... even without the refs help.

We need to go in there and beat them just so they have to earn their freaking scudetto. Make them sweat for it, knowing we will stay on their tail for as long as possible. Then if they slip up again let's hope like hell that we are ready to capitalize on it.

One of the most important matches of the season for Roma in Serie A. Inter are definitely suffering with injuries and fatigue after their CL match and playing Serie A the past week. If there was ny time to beat Inter, it has to be now. Totti is slowly coming back into form and i'm hoping he will be at his best tomorrow.

Mancini returns from suspension and i also hope Giuly gets the nod ahead of Taddei. He's been very porn as of late.

I believe we can win at the San Siro once again and cut the lead down to 6 pts. Of course Inter are in pole position but if we can keep winning who knows Inter might drop pts here and there. we just have to concentrate on winning our games and finishing with as many pts as possible.

For this match i feel Mancini will be the key. he has been playing well recently and could be the one to take down Inter. Totti hasn't been firing on all cylinders so Mancini will need to play well.

Roma have to win this game to keep in contention for the title. I hope Taddei sits again...he's in a major slump and for this important match, we need someone who's on good form. Maybe Spalletti will try Mancini-Perrotta-Giuly again.

Yes that would be good but after Giuly playing back to back matches Spalletti might put him on the bench :(

Completely agree with here mate. Let's make those Argies earn it. Yeah I'd go for Giuly - Perrotta - Mancini as well.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Mancini was not only suspended this weekend but he also is injured. He picked a bump up against Real Madrid. Tomorrow he will train and if everything is okay he will make himself available to the mister.

If Mancini is not fit enough to play, Mirko will have to fill the role. Vucinic played well last game and seemed to pick up more as the game went on. If he does play tomorrow, i'm sure he will do fine.

Hope Aquilani gets the nod as well...Pizarro made countless errors against Madrid overplaying the ball.

I got nothing against Vucinic playing, I see potential in him and I don't think he will get there unless he's given ample playing time. I would like to see him Totti and Mancini together with Mancini moving to the right. Especially with Mancini in this form, him and Cicinho could play well off each other.

Spalletti has a bit of a hard on for Pizarro, but I think it's clear to almost everyone else that Aquilani is vastly superior to him.

Agreed! I don't understand why Pizarro starts over Aquilani. He is a much better all around player and has got a blistering shot. Aquilani is the future of Roma and should be playing unless he is hurt. This offseason Roma better get some people to work with him on his stamina and strength as he gets injured far too often.

Here's the full squad list for tomorrow evening. Glad to see Mancini and Juan make the trip:

    4 JUAN SILVEIRA DOS SANTOS
    5 PHILIPPE MEXES
    7 DAVID MARCELO CORTES PIZARRO
    8 ALBERTO AQUILANI
    9 MIRKO VUCINIC
10 FRANCESCO TOTTI <--- Sets his tenth record at Roma tomorrow, this one for most games played.
    11 RODRIGO FERRANTE TADDEI
    14 LUDOVIC GIULY
    15 VITORINO GABRIEL PACHECO ANTUNES
    16 DANIELE DE ROSSI
    18 MAURO ESPOSITO
    20 SIMONE PERROTTA
    21 MATTEO FERRARI
    22 MAX TONETTO
    25 CARLO ZOTTI
    26 ADRIAN FLORIN PIT
    27 JULIO SERGIO BERTAGNOLI
    30 MANCINI ALESSANDRO FAIOLHE AMANTINO
    32 DONIEBER ALEXANDER MARANGON (DONI)
    33 MATTEO BRIGHI
    77 MARCO CASSETTI

Here's something that will make you chuckle. Cowardly Mancini (that guy coach Inter) is said he would be content with a tie:

    Aquilani starting = A win

Pizarro starting = A frustrating night where we constantly get overrun in midfield and culminates in a loss.

    The choice is yours Luciano.

    AMEN

I saw a statistic on another forum, whenever Vucinic and Totti both start together Roma wins without conceding a goal. In other news, here are some words from the traitor. I hope we rough him up tonight:

Nicely said ItalianMike! Chivu is a traitor. Period! This is the very reason why Acquilani and De Rossi will never go to Inter, Real Madrid, etc. They have too much heart and pride coming through the Roma youth system. They is not completely driven by money as Chivu was. Honestly, outside of winning trophies and big bucks, why would anyone want to go to Inter. Look at Crespo and Suazo. They would start or at least see quite a bit of first team action at other club teams, but only have about ten starts between Serie A, Coppa Italia, and Champions League. Suazo should have came to Roma over the summer, but the Inter cheaters stole him from Milan who stole him from Roma.

Chivu is a traitor in Roma fans eyes. But, in terms of his professional career, moving to Inter was a good choice. He's earning more then double what Roma were willing to pay him and he will earn more titles. Players like Totti, De Rossi etc play for the shirt and not for the pay. Although, Totti is the highest paid Italian player in Serie A.

Very important game today...i will miss the match live, but will catch a repeat tonight. I expect nothing more then a victory...Roma have to be hungry...they can beat Inter!!!!!!
