Down the road when the contract's are running out for players like Marcos, Lamela and Pjanic, yes, if we can't build into a continual CL participant/threat due to their desire to leave. In the short term, only if there happened to be some huge issue with a manager and, even then, a deal like Borini for Destro is more likely where the argument that the roster is improving can be made.
I don't see anyone improving over Marcos (at least at this stage, as the guy, as compared to Borini, has been exceptional the whole season), so unlikely he will be sold with the argument that they tried to improve the team...only possible if a mega offer arrived (like that for T. Silva), but this is also unlikely given his young age, and just one season in serie A So, he is staying..bank on it
