I prefer Consigli! But I think Gioco just needs to play more his confidence will improve and he woln't fumble those. On the ball though, Stek is probably better right now
Gio just needs to learn how to control his box on crosses and not come out like a chicken with his head cut off. Other than that he is a pretty decent keeper.
Goicoechea is only 24 which is still fairly young for a GK. Stek should be our number 1 for at least a couple more seasons. But I do love Goicoechea's distribution and I think he can grow into a decent keeper as he ages.
I remember when we first bought Stek, i actually thought he was our best signing at the time. I think he's been a disappointment, i expected better if im being honest. I hope he does well here in the future
1. Juventus 38 2. Inter 34 3. Napoli 33 4. Lazio 30 5. Roma 29 6. Fiorentina 29 7. Ac Milan 24 8. Udinese 22 We can finish 2nd or 3rd this season if we continue to play like we did against Fiorentina.
Well slow down,we still don't have the finishing touch and didn't develop a killer instinct.Roma could score at least 5-6 goals but the defence is still cheesy and viola wasn't the real test.
I think 2-6 will all finish within 8 points of each other, so it's quite possible to finish 5th while challenging for 2nd. In fact, Milan might make that 2-7.
Would like to see how our defense looks like against a strong offense. 35 year old Toni isn't a good player to gauge our defensive phase. If we can hold our own against Milan and Napoli I think we could scrap it out for 3rd. Teams are going to start to slow down at this point in the season, so we need to make sure we continue this form. I don't think Lazio and Napoli are going to be able to keep this pace up when injuries start to add up, especially with Napoli possibly losing two of their defenders due to match fixing.
Don't worry young fellow !! I'm still here, Zeman taught Montella a lesson - still doesn't change the fact that Montella is a talented manager.
no what I mean is, Rome could have ended up winning those games and not actually learning from their mistakes. Therefore the situation could be really be worse than the point spread now. you never know
Agree with Vulp, played like crap against Pescara, won, would have buckled more times than not against a team like Siena after going behind. Of course given the style of play there is a high chance we may see similar brain freezes, know point kidding ourselves but somewhat positive to see the team can still win playing ugly or show grit to come back. Zeman's game is all about getting into a sync and flow but it's simply not going to happen every game throughout the course of a season. If we can still win the games where it doesnt happen then this is how we climb the table
YES! zonalmarking did a beautiful piece on roma-fiorentina http://www.zonalmarking.net/2012/12/11/roma-4-2-fiorentina-roma-attack-three-v-three/
Maybe Fiorentina at home was easier then chievo on the road.Fiorentina collected 9 points on the road, whereas Chievo collected 15 at home. If we won fiorentina in firenze, and lost chievo at home I would have said we wasted the win.
