MD15: Roma - Fiorentina (December 8th, 2013) [R]

My first game of the season next week, it's been a long time coming. Man, I've missed being in the Curva. Can't wait. FORZA ROMA!!

 

We need a more attacking line up then one presented vs atalanta. We were basically playing for 0 - 0 for 60 minutes until a howler by de sanctis broke the score. or else it was 0 - 0 game all over.

We have many players who risk suspension.

 

I'm scared for these next few games. It doesn't help that Juve won today too.

 

we have extra day of rest on fiorentina, does it help? I hope so.

 

what's the serie A record for draws?

 

Not sure if it is the record but inter drew 7 in a row in Mancini's first season as manager for them (2004-2005)

 

While I have been pretty down on the team lately, I think this game is very winnable and as Whill mentioned they won't be sitting on their heels like the last handful of opponents. At the very least we should see an entertaining game. I hope Destro is fit because we need to play with a striker.

 

Totti was rumoured to be back for this game, anyone heard any updates on his condition?

 

Even if he is back, he won't start for sure.As Rudi said earlier that he is in no hurry to bring Totti back.

 

Its Panic time, even 10 % totti would help this side offensively lost

 

If you panic you might as well admit to defeat...This team still has their 0 and hopefully a healthier line up...Rudi will not risk players especially Totti. Imagine bringing him back to early and then the inevitable happens. Only way he plays is if he's ready but not looking likely

 

I'm going to be selfish, my girl and I are flying to Rome for the weekend to watch this game, and we want to see Totti play, even if just for ten minutes... Going to the Olimpico and not chanting Totti's name when the line-ups are read or when he comes in would not be the same — C'e Solo Un Capitano.

To win against Fiorentina we need to play a Zeman-style attacking game, as they never park the bus, are prone to conceding, and Neto is no Buffon...even 10 man Hellas almost equalised against them...

 

Please no Zeman-style attacking games. I don't want to concede more goals than we have conceded all season.

 

Fiorentina will score if you sit back, while they are prone to get demolished by attacking sides...At least Zeman tought Montella the lesson multiple times

 

Zeman schooled Montella's ass last year , 4 - 2. It was a teacher - student game.
I think this fiorentina needs to be attacked, because they are weak in the back.

 

Our Wednesday and Thursday training sessions are going to be entirely dedicated to goalscoring celebrations. I just hope no one blows out a knee.
