PBP: MD1 - Siena/Viola -- 27 Agosto 2011 (R)

We're starting off on a Saturday; our first of two derbies kicking off the season. Seems like historically we have problems away to Siena.

Jovetic may be away on Montenegro NT duty (let's hope not).
D'Agostino plays for Siena now and will definitely have something to prove.

I would hope JoJo would want to get back into the season with us after missing a whole year and having already played a few games for Montenegro. But I still can't blame him for wanting to play for his country if that's what he chooses.

Assuming the strike is resolved and we play Saturday I think this is how we'll probably line up assuming the departure(s) of Cerci, Montolivo and/or Gilardino are not imminent.



Thoughts?

They have given us plenty of trouble in the past but this was the last time we played them away.

Vargas? still not ready?

They say that he and Lazzari are competing to start as left box-to-box midfielder. The only other real question mark is Cassani and De Silvestri as RB.

Supposedly Lazzari and De Silvestri have the edge right now.
