Hey what do you guys think about Maximo Banguera? Good enough for the full nat'l team? Should he stay playing with Vizuete en la sub, or help the adult team between the sticks (god knows we need all the help we can get , lol)? Thoughts, comments?

aside from me knowing that kid is damn good and jumps like a cat on caffeine...I'm unsure about the rest, I think he should stay with the sub group for a little longer until he can get some more experience under his belt and build some confidence with a few more wins. Last thing we need is him to get a 5-1 drubbing against Argentina and then his morale is low and its tougher for him to bounce back, It'd be best to have a guy who works his way up after earning more experience. But we do need a good GK so it really does go either way...

He should definitely be training with the NT de mayores...
and be used in some of the wc qualifiers...preparing and helping him gain experience by 2010 Africa WC...

but first we need to find our NT head coach...it's been 4 months now... and Argentina is our next match

Suarez tried out all the GK in Ecuador
he called up Banguera knowing he just
won a gold medal with the sub23 in the pan am games.

there was no discovery of the obvious...

solo tenes que hacer un search en este foro por el apellido del juvenil

y te daras cuenta que estuvo en varias convocatorias antes de los panamericanos - no se quien lo descrubrio, solo se quien lo convoco!

I mean, for the sake of inferring that Suarez was the mastermind behind the discovery of Banguera, I'll go off and say that he's also the reason Jose Valencia never got a chance on our national team, that Oscar Bagui made it on to the national squad even though there were 4 other candidates who could fill his shoes better, the insistence of keeping any of the 1,000,000 Ayovi's in the squad, and the grevious error of using an untested Rorys Aragon (now that he starts with Standard he is much better) and then a weak Daniel Viteri in the goal, lets not forget the ludicrous squad changes against Germany in the World Cup, not using Felipe Caicedo more often. The list goes on and on...

I bet this bum(suarez)did not even know that.

    Good point!
He also tried Bonard Garcia who had a good streak going when he played for Aucas.

I would have Banguera and Elizaga for the NT. Banguera could use some pointers and advise from Elizaga. Banguera needs to be in the NT now . The kid has to start at some point... he shouldn't be delayed any longer.. start the kid. and let him gain experience.

Guilty of both goals scored by Emelec. If you watch him in both plays of goal, he reacts late both times. Something is wrong with his coordination. He does not satisfy me as one of the top goalkeepers as many people say he is. As for me, from the 12 teams in primera A, he is from 6th place to 12th place. That is my view of him.

so who are the better GK? the only that is better is Elizaga, and Dominguez seems to be on par, they both make screwups.
The rest of the golies on the league suck balls.

he's guilty of the 1st, not the 2nd. no one could have stopped Fleitas goal, not even Cevallos in his prime.

    Re: Goalkeepers

I see Elizaga and Dominguez as the best now, Rorys as third, and Banguera last. All good keepers, no question about that. Besides them there is only one upcoming keeper that can probably prove himself soon enough and that's Adrian Bone from ESPOLI. other than that the rest is trash as far as the starting keepers in the league.

    Re: Goalkeepers

was good back in the day... he is no where on the map right now...

Banguera is the best keeper in the league along with Elizaga. Then you also have other good keeper's like Dominguez.

But Ecuador needs Banguera on the 3 posts, he still hasn't been given an opportunity to show what he is made of.

AHAHAHAAH.....even as a barcelonista, I believe you are joking. I'd rather see Dominguez.

entre aragon - dominguez y Mora no hay consenso

se parece a la federacion buscando DT!

ok then just wait and watch Dominguez play and you be the judge. Mora sucks, I think majority of people here will agree.

He has been great this season, but like all Ecua Keepers he has some flaws.
Still he his probably the best younger keeper in the league. Elizaga is good, but how much longer will he last?
