Schade. Bursa midfielder had a golden opportunity to play their forward in 1v1 with the goalie. Wee much on the pass, though.

44' minute. Edu's had a decent half minus that silly pass.

Appears a defensive mid to me.

He was initially playing a box to box CM role. Once Bursa scored, though, he's stayed more at home in their defensive half.

Bursaspor passing ranges from horrendous to fantastic at times.

Just like when Altidore was playing there. It's maddening stuff! If they could cut down on a smidgen of the errant pass they'd be top of the table probably.

Perhaps I am biased -- no, I definitely am -- however Edu appears to be one of their tidier players, at least today. He had that one bad pass, but otherwise does well with the ball, including when he finds himself under premature pressure due to an inaccurate pass from a teammate.

I'm with you. He provides an extremely calming presence in a helter-skelter first XI. I think that's why he stopped venturing forward as much. The trainer likely wants him cemented right in front of the back line.

Edu's back in a box-to-box type role again to start out the half, btw.

Schade. Bursa forward is played a near perfect ball in front of goal, but he can't keep the shot down.

Great effort by a Bursa player to reach a ball at the end line and cut back, but it is too difficult to control, and his teammate skies it from about 5 yards.

Oooh, Edu. Tries to one-time it from top of the box, but skies it badly.

Oh BABY! Gala keeper makes an EXCELLENT save. Ensuing corner results in nothing. Beautiful save!

Oh, much to the consternation of the BS faithful, Anton Ferdinand has made an appearance...as a sub. Weird. Still 1-1 btw.

Wow! That's how you drill a one-time shot from distance. Galatasaray keeper with an amazingly athletic dive to the top left 90 to deny Bursaspor. Then, on the ensuing corner, the ref does just as amazingly to dubiously deny Bursaspor a header for some alleged elbow.

Bursa keeper must have put money on Gala winning this match. Ridiculous give away in front of his goal thankfully comes to nothing.

Galatasaray keeper is from Mars. Another amazing reaction save. Bursaspor looking much more likely to score....knock on wood!

Edu deflects a close-range shot, out for a corner, which comes to nothing. However, it is interesting to see how much shoving the ref lets Galatasaray get away with in light of the Bursaspor goal he disallowed due to some relatively minor, if not imagined, contact.

If the rules would allow suspending the goal from the upper deck, Bursapor would be winning 5-1 right now.

Sneijder takes the ball from Edu like it's candy. Attack on goal thankfully comes to nothing.
