Hamburg and Leverkusen are breathing down our necks so we can't afford a slip up in order to maintain 2nd place and keep up with Bayern. But I'm confident that we will win this game. We'll just see what happens.

No, he plays very bad this season and without self confidence.
But Schaafs always put him in the starting 11.
That´s why he is in my expected starting team.

100% must win. Bayern lost in Cottbus. The dream of the second star is again alive. If we win, we are behind by 4 points only.

    LET'S DO IT!!!

I judge the situation differently, after the loss it´s less points
to a non UEFA-cup rank (5 points) than to Bayern (7 points).

People always speak about the defensive problem,
lads, wake up, this year the offense total suck.

The team worked hard in the last matches and created
a plus of chances, but there is no effience.
Today the whole team sucked, Wiese the only player with
a normal performance. He is responsible, that we only lost 0-1.

Face it, we have a CRISIS !!!

wow...just get a good striker guys, or would you trust rosenberg or almeida or sanogo to play much better next year?

Also, you should try to toni kroos as he is a bremen fan after all (I'm not totally joking there)

It´s no only the strikers to blame here, it´s the whole team.
The midfielders also waste their chances and the defenders
have no tactical discipline. Today we got the against goal after
an own corner, because the whole team tried to score, and that´s not
the first time in the last weeks.
The standards are in last time scary weak. I think we got more
opponents goals after own standards than Werder goals.

    To your points:
    1. The strikers are quite young (all younger than 25) and you can never
know how they develope. But what i miss is a consistent striker,
that has both: goal instict and good technic.

    2. I know, that Toni Kroos mentioned before he went to Bayern,
that Werder is his favorite club, but we are not at football manager here.
Werder was one of many clubs with strong interest in him when he
still played at Rostock, but Bayern made the race. Point.

But currently the most important thing is not who will play for Werder
next season and who leaves, but that the current players get their
asses together, play more efficient and most important stop
    these pathetic blackouts.
Hell, a user in the wol-forum got it right: You could give
every district league coach a BL squad and he would lead
this players to a victory against Werder with this tactic:
Bunker, give Werder a corner, let Werder attack with all players
and play a counter and score ... ;)

This whole things nerves me.

was the performance today not as good as against rangers and stuttgart? In those two games you guys dominated possession and created lots of chances.

Was the play not as good in this game? Is that what you're saying?

Yes, today the performance wasn´t good.
Werder had more possesion, but didn´t create much chances.
Nevertheless there were some good opportunities to score,
but Wolfsburg also had some more to win higher.

    The loss is absolute deserved.

Kroos being a "Bremen fan" is in all likelihood rather different from Neuer being a Schalke fan for example. If you're from Northern Germany, you like offensive football and you like it if someone other than Bayern wins the championship at least once a while, you just had to become a Bremen supporter of some kind a few years ago. I was very delighted by their championship in 2004 as well, only with some long-term considerations I come to the conclusion Bremen is not the right club for me.

Sorry Bremen fans, please don't take this as trolling.

we should have seen this coming though. We never got a solid attacker in place of Klose. Now i think the whole team is panicking and trying to score without a brain. Really pathetic game. I'll be happy if Leverkusen and HIV don't pass us.

We need an established striker this summer

So much for closing the gap on Bayern... How disappointing to hear that the team played crap. We've got a problem scoring goals AND defending. GREAT.

    Like who?

We've got a lot of good strikers but it has been evident lately that we are clearly missing something. And if we were to buy a new striker though, who would Bremen let go?
