Thought I'd start the thread for this weekend's game. Not sure what the (R) means, but figured I'd put it in there.

So far, to min.38, the first half has been pretty disgusting. VfB seems to be playing down to the level of their opponent. Sloppy, lackadaisical play, especially in the midfield. Few chances generated for us. Almost no cohesive push forward. I know Kuz is out, but an interesting lineup for us, too.

Ok, that's better...finally some activity in front of the guest's goal. Harnik just poached one, 1-0. :)

I actually had a dream last night that we won 4-1, hope we can pick it up a bit in the first half to get that.

Thanks for the info about the (R).

1-1 now, rats. Werner was actually looking dangerous late in the first half for Augsburg. Decent left foot. Not sure why the Match Attax cards have him as a 1-star rating overall. Seems more like a 2 to me (at least based on today).

    C'mon VfB, get it together!

2-1, Harnik. Nice moves to get his shot.:D

And our flow and control have noticeably improved this half.
Don't know what Bruno said to the lads at halftime, but we finally seem to have stopped d**king around with these guys.

P'Yak's days are sooooo numbered. Augsburg gave him like ions for him to do something in the box and he bumbles over the ball. *shrugs*

I missed everything because I was traveling today. Surprised to see Harnik getting a brace. Great to see the result though! We're hanging around, that's for sure.

It was Traore's first start in the Bundesliga for us and I had some high hopes following his strong performance when he started in the cup. Unfortunately, he was very poor in my opinion. But nevertheless, I hope he will be given more opportunities over the coming months, although these will perhaps not come immediately.

The strikers were very bad. I generally consider Pogrebnyak to be quite a bad striker - slow, unthreatening, uncreative, poor position. And Cacau is just not on form at the moment.
