Guys I am combining the PBP and post match thread since I don't know what I will be doing at the final whistle depending on the final score:

Here is the final match preview by FIFA.

Aupa Espanha y La Furia Roja!!

    Congratulations! :D

I have to admit, I wanted Holland to win purely because of their two previous defeats, and I felt Spain were very boring throughout the tournament, but boring doesn't mean bad. They were clearly the best of all the teams.

Sneijder, De Jong, and Van Bommel in particular after the sh*t he's got away with this World Cup, can all f*ck off with their complaints. I'm glad Robben at least had the humility to accept the loss given the chances he wasted.

I felt the same. Even in the referees forum many felt De Jong should've been gone for that karate kick.

And I thought it was over when Robben was put through. Twice! Huge sighs of relief.

Spain should have been playing against 10 men, then 9. Del Bosque finally took out Alonso and played another attacking midfielder. The move resulted in the game opening up and Spain starting to play as they did in the Euros. The goal was almost inevitable.

Holland was a disgraceful participant in the final. They were an embarrassment. They were awful and cynical.

    Congratulations to Spain.
