Doubtful. It's a small decision. It's not like he denied them a goal is it?

I'm just glad we didn't have to suffer through 15 rounds of PKs this time. They're making strides; maybe it'll be won within the alloted 90 minutes next time. :D

    It's a loss today...matches in PK's are considered draws.

they are no different than greece when they won the euro, or italy in the last cup, defense wins titles. Not a lot of goals.

People called me an idiot last week when i said this game would be uber boring, and that spain was a snoozefest team along with NL. The only thing Spain had going for them was that they paid more money to Fifa and the ref. Grats spain, amazing performance < lol! Another Fifa sponsored team to win, my rankings for this wc would be #1 Germany #2 Uruguay #3 Netherlands

Congratulations to the referee and Iniesta.

Teaching children to fall down instead of continuing with the integrity it took our species millions of years to achieve, is exactly what the best of us want...

For all the parasites to fall with each other, so we can rise again.

That's the way I'd put it.

I was originally rooting for the Netherlands, having been twice so close to getting the Cup, but after the first half I had grown cold on the whole affair.

In the end, the better team (or least awful, in this game) won.

But what a woeful final. Worst ever.

NL didn't play better than Brazil or Uruguay.
    Finally their luck ran out.

Another thing: two teams from the same confed playing the final produces more careful matches, since both tend to know each other well and play to the other team's weaknesses rather than to their own strengths.

The best finals have one team from Europe, one from South America.

Brazil was crap. Glad they were out. Uruguay was a great team, unlike Brazil.

And Spain is hardly a worthy champion. A goal had to come from an intentional blunder by the ref. Yeah.......

On another note, worst final ever. I thought 2006 was gone... but I guess not. FIFA is an absolute joke.
