I agree, the biggest floppers and whiners should always win. It wouldn't be FIFA soccer without a champ like that.

I guess the Spaniards are going to get a serious beating after the final whistle...with Mark van Bommel punching the living hell out of at least five Spanish players on his own :D

I'm not entirely sure Spain are worthy champs given the quality of this match.

If this is beautiful football, then Spain can keep it. Spain are the new Greece.

You are right - dudes that choose to stay on their feet shouldn't be champs.

Their clearest chances were Robben's 2 breakaways.

Well at least it was a nice goal to end it... to bad the Dutch got denied a corner a minute before.

Hard to stay on your feet when you've been ninja-kicked in the chest, or had your legs kicked out from under you.

The yellows attest to the fact that Netherlands tried to stop the flow of the game more often than the Spaniards.

That was an effective and smart tactic, but Spain was the better team.

All in all, though, the Dutch were very close to scoring. Yet, they didn't come to play. From the first minute it was obvious.

They came to hold the Spanish and play counters. Which was the _best_ thing they could do. Still, the better team did win.
