My guess is Loew would put in Wiese and Wiese has been studying his butt off for every argentine players kicking patterns. Well, that's what I would do if I were him. But I'm an american. Even worse, a scottish one.

Excuse me, sky-blue and white(with blue shorts and socks).

That was in 1930, but let's reach the semi-final first.

    Will Podolski start?

That's a bit of a myth, Diego has a very good coaching staff with him. The truth is Carlos Bilardo is most likely calling all the tactical shots while Diego is nurturing and motivating the players.

Do you really think Low would hold a sub for that long just in case?

I doubt Bilardo has anything to do with those decisions, it's said that in the match against Greece, Mancuso & Enrique suggested to bring on Higuaín, ultimately Diego picked Palermo instead.

I admit that this world cup is pretty much the first time I've seen a full match or anything close to a full one. But, this game is pretty damn exciting. I mean, I can't imagine how it will go tomorrow. It seems likely that one or the other team will score or will they? Seems to me that lots of players have missed chances or lots of goalies missed the ball due to this weird ball bouncing everywhere. Not only that, but after the matches today in which the favorites Brazil were taken out and the dramatic Ghana match, I feel only more anticipation for what the morrow will bring. It seems to me possible that either team may end up with even 4 goals over the other side. Since they both possess some decent attackers we can look forward to at the very least some very good goal chances. I just hope the match will be able to mirror the fever pitch of anticipation.

I think it will depend on how their playing. I'm assuming if it goes to PK's it will be because both teams played a defensive style and only a couple players will be running much. If either side plays an attacking style, I think it's highly unlikely to go to PKs.

Podolski is going to start, there's a (small) chance Cacau maybe available, too.

I think the Germans have an edge in this one.

Given their counterattacking ability and speed, they could sit back and hold on the defensive end, hopefully keeping Messi under control, and then launch a counterattack from there. Given Argentina's mediocre defensive ability, Germany should be able to capitalize.

Germany's speed and fitness is going to play a huge role in this match, and I think it's going to be the distinguishing factor.

My prediction: The German's take it 3-2

I pray youre right about it. ;) Although for my nerves a clear 4-1 as against England would suit me better. But that would be something less interesting for the neutral viewers I guess... ;)

Messi is the advanced playmaker for Argentina. He doesnt play behind the strikers for Barcelona and even if he did, Xavi's such a dominating presence in the middle of the pitch that he'd out-playmake him, especially as its easier to do from central midfield rather than in the hole.

I didn't talk about "good" or "bad" ... but about the fact that Argentina knew how to totally neutralize our attack in Munich some weeks ago.

His players must be real "geniuses" then. :)) In the above-mentioned test game I saw some very impressive Argentinian tactics ... but well, maybe we saw a different game.

    What prediction? This one?

Sounds like the Löw/Klinsmann duo in 2006. ;)

    Haha. Somehow really funny. :)

Let's hope for a good, exciting & fair game.

This is actually so cool - I think it has to do with Bayern(robben, van gaal and van bommel) - In South Africa all german supporters where wearing Oranje shirts to support the Dutch against Brasil. Its seems the big rivalry is changing. Awesome!
