I think they are lying to you

Roger Milla scored at 38 in 1990, Palermo is 36

Maradona in 86 only made 1 goal at group stage

in 90 maradona didnt score, but made some crucial assist and lead his team to the final

I'd rather see Argentina progress well then having top scorer but crash out early. Messi made 2 direct assist and involved in all the other goals except Heinze's goal, I forgot who won the free kick though

The team selection and the tactics ********ed the first game up. We deserved to go out not because we weren't motivated, but because we lost to better teams.

I was just coming back here to fix my post. This is correct.

Well, that Milla is the oldest player. He scored again in '94, IIRC

the haters said that Maradona is idiot coach, Heinze is shaky defender, Demichellis is never good, Palermo was picked because Maradona love Boca, Higuain is always wastefull and Argentina will stumble at group stage. But so far....

I'm sure he'll be heartbroken about losing a beauty contest if it means Argentina winning the World Cup. :D

More likely your mushy mind drew a complete blank.

    1. Heinze goal - Messi great shot forces save for corner.
    2. Korea 1st - Messi delivers great FK (some luck of course).
    3. Korea 2nd - Messi plays it short to Maxi>Burdisso>Goal (this one you could say his role was routine).
    4. Korea 3rd - Messi runs past defenders, great shot, gimme for Higuain.
    5. Korea 4th. Messi great pass to Aguero. Aguero great touch, great finish Higuain.
    6. Greece 2nd - Messi forces save leading to easy shot for Palermo.

    Numerous FK's, corners, yellows won.

    Argentina 3 games, 3 wins.

What are you talking about again?

Seriously. Has anyone been watching Messi? He looks happy as hell, like he'd much rather have 9 points than, say, 6 points and 4 goals.

Look, I am not saying that Messi is not good. He is ... but he is not world class currently as was expected. Hopefully for the football he explodes. ******** it.

Honestly, nobody's been as good as they are for their clubs in this world cup. I'm just glad to see the bunker defeated.

I as a fan DON'T like Messi all that much and I certainly don't like Maradona. But Messi has put his ego aside and is helping his team. And the players sure as hell look like they want to play for Maradona. As a result, No one is going to want to play Argentina.

They're playing some great football. You can't be a fan if you're not digging this stuff.

This was a pretty good game considering there was 7 subs and Greeks were packing the back. They also got away with a few rough fouls early in the game. Messi is fine, he is doing a lot of work. He worked well with veron (could have passed that one ball on the edge of the box to his right, Veron) but the two guys upfront looked a bit confused at times. Toward the end when Greece came forward the game opened up. Had Greece played the same way from the start, there would have been more goals. The Greek keeper did well; he saved at least 3-4 sure goals including the bullet from Veron from 30yrd. out.

Feel bad for Mexico; they have to face a formidable Argentine again.

I'm not close to listing every corner. But when you're playing a bunker team as both Nigeria and Greece did your best chance is on a set piece. If you win 10 set pieces you might get 1 goal from that. People saying Heinze and Micho scoring is trouble for Argentina, wtf? It was natural considering the bunker defenses.

That was a cowardly but sadly SMART performance by Greece. Sucks, but bunkering is really the way to go for 75% of teams.

He`s the best player nowdays. Nobody even resembles him. Now if you want him to explode into a new level,......, ..... well I guess you`ll have to wait all your life for it, since he already is, in another dimenssion.

many of his assists are bad and he is not as good with ball as he was in championship. he is little above good, but makes me wonder if we will see any player that will excel on this tournament and a tournament would be remembered by? so far ...
