Torres gets his start today. Lets hope he's ready because he'll have to help Bradley shut down the counter attacks.

After seeing his focus in the Turkey game, I think that he'll do alright. Get 'em, Gringo.

Let us all hope this USA v. Slovenia match gets a better official than Germany v. Serbia received; that game had the most awful ref in FIFA history... sad when Refs determine games!

    Go USA!!!!

It's going to be interesting to see how the USA does as a favored team. But with Torres replacing Rico Clark, it gives us a better chance to play a possession game.

Interesting, Ljubijankič instead of Dedič. Just like against New Zealand in friendly ...

Torres is badly needed in this game. His ball control, passing, calmness, vision is by far superior to the other midfielders.

    2-1 USA

Why the Heck is Bradley starting Findley again? WTF!!! Making same mistakes as Bruce in 06. Even Joze shouldn't be starting. Put in the guys who were scoring goals. Herculez and Buddle. Joze is not ready yet and would be better used as a Sub as well as Findley.

Dempsey is a lucky boy. If that was later in the game would have been a for sure card.

01' 0-0 #8 Clint Dempsey and #9 Zlatan Ljubijankič go up for an aerial ball. Dempsey leads with a left elbow, foul. Ljubijankič stays down, rolls around, huddle. Hold breath  -- no card. N.B. All diacriticals courtesy of Wikipedia's Slovenia page -- it's the one thing ESPN's otherwise-excellent GameCast page overlooks

If he was playing for Germany or Serbia, he'd be in the dressing room.
