You don't play in Serie A for 10 years unless you are good. He is a fine attacking midfield player who has a habit of scoring important goals. He scored the goal against Uruguay in Sydney that helped us qualify for 2006 and he also scored in injury time in Bahrain to give us a totally undeserved win in the last lot of WC qualifiers. If he acclimatises ok and stays injury free he will be a great assett to the club.

Remember when Ittihad got Luis Figo to "Sign" for them. Complete with shirt holding ceremony?

EDIT: According to some sources, it was Bresciano's wife who scuppered the deal, didn't want to move to Saudi Arabia.

I have a horrible feeling bresciano is going to do a neill and wait out for a big money move that is likely never to come....

I can see Bresc going to Greece or Turkey for another year or 2.

So i'm guessing he had a cooling off period in a clause of that contract that he's most definately signing above?

Bresc may think that, but then he was dropped because he played poorly in the lead up games.

When was the last time Bresc actually played well for us? I know he's on and off but I'm struggling to remember the 'on'.

Seems to me like the same complaints that Joel Griffiths made.

He played well in most of the qualifiers I thought, but was off his game a bit this year.

He's a good player, but if we want to progress, we need to build a team/squad with players of the right mentality, not this shit.

He was our best player against Uzbekistan at home and obviously, saved our asses against Bahrain. He's been really inconsistent for us for a year or so, but when he's on form, he's almost invaluable IMO.

    Key word.

I'd much rather a team of Luke Wilkshire's, that provide excellent consistency with quality performances, than have a team of Bresciano's that one day could provide slightly better quality.
