But when would they announce the team that we're to play against? I hope we get an early answer.

Usually a month before. Thing is if we have a good World Cup and can keep these results coming better teams will want to play us and we can have games set with more notice.

    Well let's see:

We don't want to play any other south american team by this point, so considering that factor plus who we've played recently,

Belgium and Netherlands are out for obvious reasons,

Italy plays Spain and Germany plays with Chile,

    England plays Denmark,

So here would be our 'options' for 'good tests':

Portugal, Sweden, Poland, Greece, Ivory Coast, Japan, Ghana, and Nigeria. At least for the March friendlies, they don't have any planned friendlies and it would be good to test ourselves against these types of teams. They bring something different to each table.

On an important note, the African teams can get an advantage with the weather in Brazil similar to any South American team.

There is the Copa Kirin before the World Cup. If we get an invite we will play Japan. Saw on wiki a while back that we are invited but you really can't take information from that site.

Doubt if Japan ends up in our WC group that they play us in a friendly.

We won't pick a friendly till after the World Cup draw is made. Only game possible in December is against Barcelona's national team which is a no fifa day. Only players who want to
Come have to come. Played in 2-3 years ago and lost.

I hope that we can get a friendly with Japan and/or Nigeria. They've gotten pretty interesting results.

Nose, hace semanas se rumoraba que en Barranquilla iban a hacer un partido amistoso de altos quilates. Hace poco varios medios de comunicacion en Barranquill ventilaorn eso. Por eso digo que es un rumor y hay que esperar que se oficialice.

If it's only one last game it'll be the last chance for jfq and balanta then....jfq has only played half hour and balanta nothing at all....doesn't seem like enough to make a judgement.

March is the last FIFA date but as others have pointed out there can be Friendlies scheduled in May and June after Euro Club competitions are officially over. We can have up to 5 if the Fed does its job properly. As for the teams we would play it all depends on the draw. We have to see who is in our group and then find teams that emulate their style of play.

The rumor of Colombia - Brazil in the Metropolitano sounds like something I have been wanting for a while now. A good battle between domestic squads just to see if there is one or two diamonds in the rough that can make the World Cup squad. I hope it occurs. Both Feds can still put out great teams without the Euro based players.

In Brazil, we can do Colombia vs Japan. Brazil has the largest Japanese community outside of Japan and it's an good excuse for a 'neutral' location when Colombians will have no issue coming to that match.

If we get drawn with Korea I could see this match happening.
If we get drawn with Japan then a friendly against Korea would also make sense.
    We shall see.

From Brazils perspective it would be good for them to meet France in the Group stages. They always loose or struggle against France, and there is no risk Brazil will be knocked out in the Group stage. So it would be best for them to face France right away since they can afford to loose, if worse comes to worse.

Well , a nightmare Group scenario for Brazil does exist (and France would be a part of it).
A group with France, Holland & Mexico could possibly occur. The two teams that have eliminated them in the last two World Cups along with a team Scolari calls a stone in their shoe could be problematic psychologically.

Just having Portugal or England or Italy or Holland... ... and the addition of Mexico and/or France could make things a bit difficult for the hosts.

That said, they will probably get an easy group. :p
