a poster claimed he went to Werder practices and Marcelo looked lost out there. particularly bad positioning.

i've been translating everything these dudes say. a few times.

a lot of speculation that the reason he doesn't play is due to his non-complete performance in practices. BUT this is only what i have read. majority of Werder fans support him and want him to play well. i think that he must take his time for its possible that Thomas Scaaf has plans for him.
he won't be transfered in the Winter window. but i think fans are also quick to judge when Bundesliga is barely in it 6th round(not even close to winter yet). so there is plenty of time.

Hunt has been playing well so that makes it tough for him to get play time. what confuses me is that Rosenberg is being subbed in after just recovering from an injury

Hmmm.... yea hopefully he can step it up, it took him time coming off the bench for Cruziero when he got there, he was in the same position as he is now, but injuries caused him to get a bump to start, and he started scoriong shortly after cementing himself in the starting 11.... lets hope the same can happen....

M3 started in the DeutschePokal against Kaiserslautern. Marcelo had a couple of chances at goal. His best chance came off a header which the goal keeper got it of his chin. He was very close and got cracked in the jaw in the process. He was subbed in the beginning of the second half and his sub scored the third and final goal for a 3-0 Werder win. Here's the clip.

Well, i wouldnt say DOESNT, because they are giving him chances finally.

And from what i hear, the ocach unlike the one at Shaktar, acutally believes in him, and actually wanted him before shaktar got him. Either way, this coach i think has his back.

With that said, even if he doesnt play that much, i hope he stays there, because its a great enviroment for him, and a better league than the ukrainian one.

Lets hope they buy him out from shahktar.

He just needs more time in the field, which right now he is not getting. How can he possibly score if he doesn't get the time. Let's just hope for the best.

I agree with Fuego, the team and coach have been more suportive than what he had with Shakhtar. Let's not forget that Shakhtar's coach publicly showed his displeasure in bringing Marcelo. From what can be seen, heard and read, it looks like a better environment in Werder. At his last game he played for injured Pizarro, that tells you that the coach sees a young Pizarro in M3. In my book that is a good compliment and an idea as to how they plan on using M3. I honestly think, if the price is right, M3 will remain with Werder.
We all agree he needs more chances but he is still young enough to learn from the bench. Would we like to see him start? Sure but i do think he's in a well run club and are taking care of him.

If they're saying it's not that serious he should be able to play with the mask. I've had basketball friends with broken cheekbones play with that and be ok. Once one of them took a hard elbow on the same spot and felt pain but didnt make it worse. With Pizarro out, he has to take his chances.

Forgot about this thread! He basically should have been the guy with 2 goals today over rosenberg, cause the first goal was his, which unluckily hit the post and went straight to rosenberg for a easy tap in.

His second goal was classic moreno, with his powerful header.

He is heating up. This is how it started in Brasil. Hopefully he can earn more minutes, but he has tough competition, but wiht pizarro out its between him and rosenberg to try up top wtih almeida.

It has begun. it could be one of the goals of the week. Werder were kind of lost throughout the 2nd. but then Marin came in and def. changed the game

Goltv is transmitting the Werder Bremen game right now, but Martins is not playing. I hope he is at least on the bench, and get at least more than 10 minutes of playing time.

He was in the bench, and has been at least making the list for every game away.
