I have to say the arrogance of Manchester United is one of the main reasons why the team is not up to par this year. I mean what was SAF thinking when he did not go and get a world class defender during the transfer window in January. Does he actually think Wesley Brown, John O'Shea or one of the Neville brothers are world class defenders? He better get his head examined because does guys could not even make the bench at AC Milan, Bayern Munich or Real Madrid. Also the midfield is a joke too how do you expect to be the best club in the world with the likes of Nicky Butt, Eric Djemba Djemba and Darren Fletcher. I mean come on we are talking about the Champions League not the MLS!!!!

Actually seems to me that MUFC is in a rebuilding stage.

ManU Fans need to quit kidding themselves about how well they performed in the second leg of the Madrid game last.

In the second half, Madrid were up 6 to 4 on aggregate with an away goal difference of 3 to 1.

They pulled Ronaldo, and quit running at the end and you got 2 cheap goals to make it 4-3. You were thumped in the first 45 when the match was on the line

    Fact.

No doubt about it... ********ing Fergie and his mind games were all over that match.
True, true. They should've won the ********ing trophy too. It pissed me off that they beat the ******** out of us at home and then Madrid don't even win the thing.

Am I the only one worried that this guy's nick is "Manchester Unizzle"???

No offense, chief, but I have a hard time working through your post, because I just keep asking myself..."Unizzle?? UNIZZLE???"

I find it strange that the original poster mentioned Bayern. There's just something more glamorous about losing one's league to Arsenal than Werder Bremen.

Dunno why that'd be, though ;).

I think you have forgotten that we already have a pair of world class defenders called Rio Ferdinand and Mikael Silvestre. Before Rio's ban, United had the best defensive record in the league. I have no reason to doubt this will continue if Rio was not banned. Of course now you're gonna say SAF should still have gotten another world class defender to cover for Rio.

Now I say, if a team gets a world class player just to sit on the bench to cover for someone, *that's* arrogance.

In my opinion a winning team is not about what world class players you have, but making that given team perform well together, whose aggregate strength is greater than the sum of the parts. This is why I always depise comments about how Man Utd won't win anything unless we buy this and that player. Using money to virtually buy trophies is arrogance.

I agree with what you saying. Arrogance was our downfall . but you can't really blame the players . Alex Ferguson is the main source of the arrogance
