There is tracking back and then there is coming out of no where to challenge a player who has 30 yards on you. Everyone else knew what I was talking about. Not my fault you can't tell the mundane from the super human.
When his shot was blocked? What else could he have done there? He worked into space and took the shot. Had he come back on his right again, or waited for another opportunity to shoot with his left, you would have complained that he was dallying on the ball. The next opportunity came again on his weaker foot at an angle where he pretty much had to blast it before being closed down. He got it wrong, but he will get it right soon enough. I don't see how Danny is expected to be sharp at striker when he gets one game there out of 10.
The latest play was the one above when you posted the comment. And it was good tracking back by Young too.
You seem to forget there is now a reason Danny is getting fewer starts, because he has not been earning them.
You might be slow in posting comments though. Anyway, no need to get your panties in a twist. I just asked you to clarify.
I'm not saying he doesn't need to do better, but there is definitely a reason he gets those chances. It will break for him and he'll play with a bit more confidence and people who doubted him will talk about him in glowing terms like they loved him all along. See Carrick, see Cleverley.
I've said it before, but the problem with Danny, is he dallies on the ball too long. Sometimes he just need to do the simple things, because at times he's taking too many touches, and making it much easier for an opposition tackle\block.
Liverpool will be delighted it is one nil. They can not be worse In the second half. Always a threat with Suarez and Gerard. Need another goal at least.
While he can score crackers, his average shooting accuracy isn't great either. Maybe that forces him to dilly dally more as he isn't confident in that.
It's possible for every player to become better or have bad and good games. It doesn't have to be black and white. Don't think anyone has said he is beyond improve either or given up.
Danny has never got a run at CF for the club. He always earns his pick when he plays. He works very hard, he participates in build up and he provides an outlet. In this game, we don't have the lead without Welbeck either. We were passing it about cute and square until he made the vertical pass to Cleverley who played Evra in. It was Danny's run that actually cleared space on the near post that allowed for a low cross. But all of that shit is stuff that goes unnoticed by you and then you think because he's had a shot blocked and skied a half chance, Danny hasn't 'earned' his start. Bullshit. Pay attention.
I don't get how Danny can be such a confident player everywhere on the field until he gets in front of goal. You can see the panic set it as soon as he gets around the box.
