We should've put this away in the first 30 minutes. We really need to get more clinical. It's gonna cost us.
This is what happens if you leave it in the ref's hands. We take our chances and its a bloodbath. Mancini is sacked tomorrow, everybody is happy. That was NEVER a foul. Never a penalty. Horrific reffing.
I'm not sure. But if it is, you have to give Ronaldo the countless fouls that he didn't get where he was pushed off the ball, including a penalty. Ruffiano - Ruffiano - Italiano.
Should've buried this match in the first 20 minutes. Our missing of easy chances really ********ing pisses me off.
I just knew it would end like this, we have like 4 100% chances the first half, if you dont make it then you will get screwed in the second half. That referee was one of the baddest I've ever seen too.... giving a penalty and red to Arbeloa, but he didnt do shit when Arbeloa was put to the ground 1 min before that. A big joke, how can this be possible at the highest level in football?
Manchester City are probably the first club in history to not win a match that was officiated in their favour.
We should cut Di Maria some slack. He's not dumb. He makes the wrong decisions more often than normal but it's more difficult to make the right decision when you are playing at a high tempo, on the counter-attack and whilst dribbling at pace (which means head down more than normal).
Can't agree more. Ref has to be consistent. I highly doubt Arbeloa would've been called for a foul if it was outside the box, when you consider Kompany's pushes and bodychecks against Ronaldo.
I think its a great player, his assist at Benzema was fine today. But he isnt great at switching from Real Madrids goal to a fast counter, he makes the wrong mistake often But overall, a very skilled player.
I still don't understand what the fcuk the team was during the second half of the game. Was it a game plan to give away ball as soon as possible? Not one coherent counter attack with rapid and precise ball movement. I have to agree with Alma, something IS wrong with the team this year. You can blame it on ref, sure, but to me the team played very poor the last 70 minutes of the game.
You are totally right, they sucked big time. They didnt keep the ball for more then 5 seconds, no fast counter actions, it was horrible. And then this referee, its a wonder we didnt lose this match with 10 man.
Why not? Iker barely had to make a save besides one serious chance of Aguero, while we squandered enough chances that we should have been 0-3 at the first half.
Did Joe hart? Iker had more saves than him. So we deserve to win based on... not scoring enough? It would've been another thing if we totally dominated them and still didn't score. Apart from the first 20 minutes, we only did the last part.
