Thanks WE. Given the importance of this game, i think a thread to discuss this now is a good thing. I'm going to sticky this for everyone, and we can setup an actual game thread the day before.

    So, what are people thinking??

This be would be how I'd lineup myself. 4231

    DDG
    Smalling - Evans - Rio - Evra
    Carrick - Scholes
    Nani -Cleverly - Rooney
    Welbeck

Bench: Amos; Rafael; Jones; Young; Cheech; Valencia; Giggs

    Sorry Berba. :(

Lots of freedom to interchange for the front 4, as long as they maintain proper tracking back duties down each flank.

Agree about 3 real midfielders, and since we all know Rooney is not going to be on the bench, the team is pretty obvious:

    --------------Rooney
    Nani---------------------------Valencia
    ---------------Cleverley
    ----------Scholes--Carrick
    Evra-----------------------Rafael
    -----------Rio-------Evans
    ---------------De Gea

I could also see Giggs starting instead of Cleverley and play closer to the left, allowing Nani freedom to move in whenever he feels like it.

I don't think the title race is over if we lose this. I think there may be a few twists to come in the remaining 2 games if we lose or draw this game. It would most likely be out of our hands if we lose, but I think the away game to Newcastle for them and\or the Sunderland game for us, might see where this title goes this season.

I think we'll be cagey and tight, with the idea that a draw would be a good result, and to be honest it would be.

I have the horrible feeling that SAF is going straight up 442...maybe with Jones over Rafa as he sees Jones is better defensively (not to me though):

    ---Rooney-Welbeck---
    Nani--Scholes--Carrick--Valencia
    Evra-Ferdy--Evans--Jones
    ---------DDG-------------

No way SAF goes with Rafael after the last game. Hopefully Smalling gets the nod.

I was very depressed after Sunday's debacle but it comes down to this one after all. If we lose then we are simply not good enough this year and so be it. They've seem to have gotten back on track so who knows what will happen. I'm done with predicting anything for this season.

big game. I think this one comes down to our best players being better than their players and our leaders motivating our guys so we limit stupid mistakes.

At the end of the day if you told me we would need a win over Citeh to guarantee the title at the start of the season, I'd have been okay with that.

I also think that the likes of Carrick, Nani and Rooney have something special in them and that our defenders should have all of the shit out of them by now.
