The headline at http://en.uefa.com/ is currently "Maccabi Tel-Aviv knock out Olympiacos." http://en.uefa.com/uefaeuropaleague...match=2002797/postmatch/statistics/index.html has statistics from today's game.
Maccabi Tel Aviv was in the first pairing of the Europa League Playoff Round draw and will face Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) of France. PSG has the 15th best coefficient of the 37 seeded clubs and the third best club coefficient of the five seeded Group 1 clubs Maccabi Tel Aviv could have been drawn against. Over the last five complete seasons, PSG is ranked 47th in UEFA compared to 33rd for Olympiacos who Maccabi Tel Aviv eliminated.
our defense sucked big time, both goals were stoppable and Itzhaki missed 2 goals...lets hope a miracle happends in Bloomfield...
he will have to bust his a$$ off the gain a place in the starting 11, Maccabi's midfield is kinda full....
I don't think he'd have signed for Maccabi Tel Aviv (joining his former BMG team mate Roberto Colautti) if he didn't see realistic chances to play. Good luck to Gal, I'm gonna miss a very likeable guy (like Roberto) who had a lot of tough luck with injuries after his great debut in the BMG dress (who doesn't remember the home match vs Werder Bremen when he was the best player on the pitch?).
now the only Israeli in the german land is Almog Cohen with Nuremberg....maybe Eyal Golasa will finally move to Bayern Munich and Itay Shechter to Hamburg? who knows....we'll have to wait for next season...
