I don't normally start threads for news stories, but I thought this article by Bob Luder on Peter Vermes was really well done. It also highlights some of the growth in our local youth soccer due to his involvement. http://www.kansascity.com/mld/kansascity/sports/soccer/mls/kansas_city_wizards/12400444.htm Both Vermes and Dale Ramsey (Blue Valley Soccer), are HASF members and have attended board meetings. They've been and will continue to be important in the future success of a franchise here in KC. You can tell they genuinely care about growing the game here in this city, and feel that the best way to do this is to connect the game on some level from the professional ranks down to AYSO. If we can get someone of Vermes philosophy in every Metro section, I think we will be well on our way to creating something special here in KC.
