Good question. I have been wondering that myself. I know they are starting to broadcast Televisa novelas in HD. I hope it happens sooner rather than later.

Found some numbers for TV rights in Latin America.

    so 90% of 1.07 = 963+ Million USD

    Brazil is worth 610
Argentina is worth 213 (now maybe only a portion counts for the 1.07B number since this includes both 1st and 2nd Divisions).

Mexico and Chile are worth the other 140+ million (kind of low for Mexico unless that number excludes rights in the USA).

Also depending on how the article broke up the Argentina number for 1st division, Chile and Mexico rights could be more than 140, maybe 200-240.

    Dataxis is an Argentinean company.
