Today's results have gone Liverpool's way. They will be motivated as ever for 3 points in their charge for the title. Can only see 1 result here. They were utterly ruthless at The Lane, and AVB was gone the next day. 11am EST, watch through your fingers. COYS.
No high line. FBs can't go bombing forward. Sandro needs to stay put. At least Liverpool will be feeling some pressure now.
Starters: Lloris; Naughton, Kaboul, Vertonghen, Rose; Bentaleb, Sigurdsson; Lennon, Chadli, Eriksen; Soldado Subs: Friedel, Dawson, Dembele, Sandro, Townsend, Winks, Kane
I had to go look up who "Winks" is. Club website says this: Having featured for our Under-18s two years ago, he figured more regularly last season, making the starting line-up 11 times and coming off the bench on two occasions. A versatile midfielder, he also played in two FA Youth Cup ties and four NextGen Series matches in 2012-13.
Knew we were going to lose when I saw the lineup, and was just hoping it would be no worse 2-0. Kaboul and Naughton are huge liabilities. Playing with a high line and one DM with the other four midfielders all looking to go forward is suicidal. We have no midfield when Liverpants are in possession.
Please tell me we are getting a manager at the end of this season. I can't believe Sherwood didn't even watch the reverse fixture to prepare for this match. No wait, watching this match, I can believe it.
kaboul looking just horrible today why do spurs continue to beat themselves with the high defensive line? its not working now, and it hasn't been working all season - particularly against top 4 squads
Was that Danny ********ing Rose getting shirty with Lloris? I sure hope that was after Lloris laid in to him.
End of this season cannot come soon enough, inept organisation and no focus at all. Same old story every game.
on aggregate v Man City, we lost 11-1 v Chelsea, we lost 5-1 v Arsenal, we lost 2-0 v Liverpool, we are losing 8-0 and counting damn, not even sure if sucks can describe how bad we are.
Thank goodness for Man United eh? If not for their historic collapse Spurs would surely be making far more headlines for such an underwhelming season.
Also I have to give Suarez a massive amount of respect. I've loathed him since his handball in the World Cup and he just went on to scummier and scummier behavior. I don't think he's put a foot, word or tooth wrong this season after he accepted he wasn't moving on.
Some will ask whether Levy should sack yet another manager. The answer is in your quote right there. We can afford to miss the CL thanks to Levy. But, we can't afford to go forward with a manager who continually loses because he fails to understand the strengths and weaknesses of his squad....like Sherwood.
