Oh man Enrique was brilliant there...composed to move around his man, give and go with Suarez, and his shot was just deflected wide.

    Hendo coming on for Allen.

Seriously this match is ridiculous. Henderson on for Joe Allen.

Suarez gets a yellow card for a handball where it's ball to hand. Sigh.

Edit: this feed is poor, I think it was just instinctive, the ball looked like it was coming at his face.

No striker for the West Ham game. Suarez suspended. Almost a guaranteed loss now.

We're playing well, creating several chances but just aren't finishing any of them. It's ridiculous.

By the way, no Suarez next week. Finally gives that Carroll guy a chance against West Ham.....

The frustrating thing about Suarez' 5 yellows. One was for a dive when he should have actually had a penalty (Sunderland), 1 was for that ball-to-hand incident, and 2 were for complaining too much to the ref.

Very frustrating...only 1 was for an actual challenge.

How many chances can this team miss?

The only player who actually got better as the game went on instead of the opposite. He was key defensively today. Soton couldn't get anything going, especially on the counter.

Anyway, poor second half, but I'm glad we got the 3 points. Hopefully we can pull off a miracle and get a 0-0 @ West Ham with no Suarez.

Striker? We don't need no stinking striker. 4-6-0 all the way baby!

Thought Sterling did well on both sides of the ball but definetly needs to be rested soon unfortunately not next game.

The second half was riddled with bad passes, much more so than the 1st. Should have been 4-0 rather than 1-0 but this is LFC at the moment making every game exciting until the end.

West Ham should be interesting for BR. Morgan? 6 mid fielders?

Bit dramatic, don't you think? I'm not taking anything away from Suarez here, but we just won today without him scoring. His overall contribution will be missed, but it's West Ham, and we're still fielding 11 players. I wouldn't say we're destined for a loss or a 0-0 draw.

And yea, Lucas was surprisingly good for 87 minutes in his first match back. Huge difference today with him covering the back four.

Scores today are intersting with Arsenal, Chelsea and West Brom losing and Man City and Everton at 1-1.

Suarez has contributed on like 75%-80% of our goals. West Ham is a quality side, above us in the table, and at home. They will surely be the favourite...so not losing will be a small miracle.

Lucas is such class, had a fine match. His defense was very good but his passing a bit rusty.

I think 4 games in 10 days showed at the end.

Suarez can play at Udinese Thursday as he can't play at the weekend. This is called finding the pony.

    Luis Enrique was the MOTM.

Could have had 6 with crisper passing and thought but a win is a win.

See we need to be patient. Wait until we get a real striker to play where Shelvey played today.

Yes. My guess is he plays up front and central.

What's the timetable on Borini btw?

This is at least true. Drastically increases our chances of winning that game and getting out of the Europa group.
