Suarez was amazing in this match. 4 incredible goals and an assist = 10/10 marks for the game. 51 Prem goals in 86 games in a Red shirt and 13 Prem goals from 9 games this season. World class. 11 min highlights in HD
eating my hat... really happy that BR didn't listen to me and stuck with his guns on the formation. Suarez: Brilliant is the only thing that comes close mate. just freaking brilliant.
I love Suarez's reaction to the third goal. He clearly knows just how outlandishly, audaciously brilliant the goal was; he seems to have surprised even himself.
Dunno why people keep saying this. He's obviously happy here, he just wants CL football. If we can give that to him I don't see why he wouldn't stay. It's time that the owners realized that they have the best player in the world not named Messi or Ronaldo. If they surrounded him with 3 or 4 more CL quality players they could have a super successful team and endless marketing and sales potential.
Seeing the third goal in slow motion was key to seeing just how absurdly, outrageously, instinctively skillful he is. My wife's jaw just dropped when I showed her the highlights--she's used to me going on an on about matches but isn't really a fan. She might have become one last night though. As for him staying or going...How better to cement his legacy than to propel Liverpool, a team with nearly unsurpassed history, to a league title (s) and Champion's League glory? Stay here Luis and you'll still be a HUGE fish in a sizable body of water.
Hey, I'm all for that. Buying some more world class players is definitely the way to go, but will they? He didn't look that happy to me over the summer and soon, demands for CL football will be replaced by desires to actually win it. Also don't forget the lure of Spain for a Spanish-speaking player. I think there are a lot of reasons why he could leave even though I'd rather he didn't. To keep him, I believe, we need to be title contenders year-in-year-out and CL contenders at the same time. Every footballer wants a big competition win on their resume and for someone like him, it would almost be a requirement. But hey, I'd be happy if I'm wrong.
I want someone to make a meme similar to the quote from avengers: "We have an army." "We have a Suarez."
Norwich City player Anthony Pilkington (who didn't play) tweeted this after the match Anthony Pilkington @Pilkington_11 4 Dec I wish Suarez would just leave us alone!! Big bully
http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2013/dec/05/liverpool-luis-suarez I was wondering if Rodgers had finally got Suarez in with Dr Peters. Seems he has and it's working wonders. Still can't believe what I saw yesterday.
While all the goals are great and I love the first, as I wrote up thread it was miraculous, I can't stop watching the third. 5 Norwich players in front of him when he gets the ball, not counting the keeper, the skill that went into controlling the ball, flipping a side foot sombrero over the one defender and then faking the half volley before hitting it on the bounce into the side netting is incredible. That he does it at high speed makes it shear genius.
This is the one I've been watching as well. Who else can do something like this? Messi, maybe. Not sure. Ruddy's reaction says it all from a players perspective. Ends up spreadeagled on his back, then just sits there stunned for a bit at what he's just witnessed.
