Oh I will find a stream or listen to Hunter, then watch at my leisure after DVDing the tape delay. I am not good a delayed gratification. I want it live
I rarely watch a match when I know the score. It's sorta like wankin before you go on a date, takes the edge totally away.
Well that's a horse of a different color. Watching later usually means watching a bit and then forwarding to the incidents I want to see
eeeeewwwwww! edit: i thought back to the early 70s and i decided that i might have done that once, but there is no proof. no proof whatsoever!
It was an odd 30 minute recap with Rob Stone and Keith Costigan sitting in front of a blue screen with the Kop in the background. Phone interviews with Ian Rush and Ray Houghton were a surprise and a few (very few) pieces of video we had not seen before that amounted to very very little. The insights of Stone and Costigan were non-existent .... "OMG they play monopoly and they earn Monopoly money" -- yawn.
Motor Mouth Stone is the biggest joke Fox has perpetrated on the fooball scene ever. Costigan and McBride are right there with him.
Right. When I start thinking Erik Whine-Alda is the one making sense you know the bar has been set extremely low
Exactly! Said this before.... but why in all thats holy do they talk right to the kick off before they "Turn it down to "their man on the field"?????????
I like McBride as a color commentator during games. The rest of those bums are terrible though, Costigan and Stone chief among them.
Nice double header on Thursday on Fox Soccer Channel UEFA Europa League NK Maribor (SVN) v Tottenham Hotspur FC (ENG) (12:50p ET) 3:00 PM (ET) Liverpool FC (ENG) v FC Anzhi Makhachkala (AZE)
Just a heads up as clocks go back on Sunday in England, but not in USA, so the 1:30 Derby match is at 9:30AM ET this Sunday Sunday, October 28, 2012 ESPN2, Live, 9:30AM ET Everton v. Liverpool
Thanks for the reminder. I'll be in NYC this weekend but don't want to miss the Derby. I'm staying in Brooklyn, anyone ever go to Woodwork in Prospect Heights? It'll be a bit easier for me to make it there than trekking to Union Square for Nevada Smith's, even though the atmosphere will probably be better there. Glad kickoff is an hour later, depending on what we get into on Sat. night...
I go to the 11th Street Bar at 11th and A in Manhattan when I visit my daughter. The B, D and L trains stop close to the bar. It is the home of the NYC Liverpool club. Get there early for the derby as it will be packed. Always great atmosphere.
When I was a New Yawka, I never went near Nevada's - it was a Manc and Gooner hangout. The 11th Street is a few blocks southeast, and is the ONLY place to go watch the match as far as an LFC supporter is concerned. LB's right, get there early as derby's really pack them in.
Ah yes, forgot it was 11th St. that was the Liverpool bar. Gonna head there instead, since I'll be in Williamsburg right off the L. Any chance you're visiting Liverbirdita this weekend? Bloody Mary on me!
No I am in DC this weekend. Have fun. Get off theL at First and 14th and it is a 4 block walk to the pub.
