Two weeks away! so, i'm going to attempt the new hip thing and try to save hundreds a year by not having cable tv... so, i got a roku player and an apple tv, and i'm trying to see if i can still watch all my shows and sports... i think that shows won't be a problem except for hbo and showtime, but i think that sports -- and soccer/football/futbol in particular -- will be harder... so, i'm asking if anyone has tried this and, if so, do you have any tips? i'm not talking bootleg streams, i want legitimate espn3 web-based content that can be accessed in archives, too, and that i can put on my tv... and i'm fine paying a reasonable fee for it... i know that foxsoccer.tv is like this, but i can't find a way to access this on a roku/ps3/apple tv channel/app... and then, if not, i will be happy to post my findings if anyone is interested in trying it someday?
In. Keep up the good work terp. btw do you realise how easy your job would be down here. Every EPL game is on fox, via viewer's choice. The only iffy ones would be the Europa games, carling cup & FA Cup games, which may be on espy or setanta.

Not sure where you are in SF, but Kezar Pub is a good spot. Lots of Liverpool fans any time I've caught a game there. It's in Upper Haight, which isn't my favorite part of the city, but they have a pretty good bloody Mary.
Eh. For an early morning kickoff, I'll choose a nice spicy bloody loaded with horseradish every time. Last time I was at the Kezar was the morning of the FA Cup final. We'd raged til about five the night before and it was a 9am kick off. The hard stuff was most certainly in order.
good suggestion btw - went there - met some liverpool supporters (including one coming to bawler on saturday) - had several yummy boddingtons, and then walked down haight street to ashbury to do the touristy thing for a classic rock lover. oh and definitely smelled heavy pot every step of the way. haha.
