vs The match doesn't do much for us overall against spurs - they're not catching us this year. But, we need to concentrate yet again.
Another match that will test our mettle. We got lazy and complacent, and then nervous, against Sunderland but I expect Rodgers to have spoken about composure post-match. So onwards, another 3 points regardless will be welcome.
Keep it all the same. Only people I'd question is flanno and allen. Wouldn't drop joe as we don't have anyone other than hendo with similar workrate/pressing. Flanno has been caught sleeping a bit lately.
Wow, I have not seen that pic of the Liverbird before - awesome. That may supplant Brigitte as my avatar - maybe... Eriksen has become the focal point of their team under Sherwood and they've been looking better. Can't underestimate them - need every 3 points! Go you Reds!
Tough match, but I think we can blow them away. They have had an odd few weeks -- close to imploding and then just got a good come from behind win. If we can get an early lead this will be a cake walk, but if it stays level or they sneak one (let's be honest, we won't keep a clean sheet!) then the crowd will get nervous. I really would like to see Sterling start, but not sure Rodgers will do that. Probably the same XI. Go at them fast from the outset, high pressure and get their nerves jangling instead of ours!
Yeah, me too. I'll be engaging in the usual match ritual-- go for a long walk. Hoping for fine weather.
Yeah - I'd rather not even watch the games ahead of LFC - especially the Arsenal - ManCity game (but being the junkie that I am, I just can't help myself). Agree with the above - come out fast and don't look back...attack, attack, attack!! (Which is why I start Sterling)
I have all the weekend games, the important, to us, ones that is on record. I'll prolly skip through most of them on double time, slowing down for the goals or red cards of course.
Got greedy with my last prediction, but that is 6 wins after 6 predicted wins. 4-2 to the good. Studge with a treble, Hendo with the other. Aggs at fault for the goal that lets them back in.
Hopefully the team will be a little more cohesive Sunday after Wednesday's nervy win. I'm trying to decide where to watch this one--my usual pub has a solid contingent of Spurs fans, and I'm not sure I can stand it.
Really nervous about this one. If Spurs end up being our Arsenal of '08-09, I'll be sick for weeks. They've been bent over real nice by the top 3 this season, let's keep the trend up.
Dim being dim: Sherwood: Liverpool feeling title heat http://espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/1...rwood-liverpool-handle-title-pressure?cc=5901 against Sunderland.
This lineup will be interesting. I still maintain that our performance at WHL was our best and most complete of the season. BUT that was without Gerrard and Sturridge. I'm not suggesting they shouldn't start, but it's an interesting dilemma on how to lineup. i'd definitely start sterling and sakho. i think the only question is coutinho or allen. try to blitz them early and often, or keep some graft and control in the midfield. i'll lean towards coutinho because he seems to be coming back into good form and spurs are as clumsy at the back as us. they've had some wins lately but they haven't really been playing that well, so let's get on top of them early. maybe have everyone put some money in a pot and the first player with three ASSISTS wins it. i read adebayor is likely to miss? that's good news. 4-1 to the good. eight wins in a row is a big ask of any team. let's not let these turds ruin it.
