The graphic they showed made me smile, 34 attempts on goal vs 4 attempts on goal, 20 shots on goal vs 2 shots on goal.

Suarez off for Borini and looks seriously annoyed to be taken off. Love the effort and desire.

A Borini goal would cap this off nicely.

Well.... that's certainly not good. Borini off with what looks like a dislocated shoulder.

Poor Borini - looks like he dislocated his shoulder. Bad season for him.

I was thinking the same thing until the announcer reminded me that Coutinho and Sturridge are cup tied.

There's a word I sometimes see in the British football media that describes the second half performance: imperious. My goodness, that was dominant.

Our first win against a team currently in the top half of the table.

What a performance and what a result. I'm so unbelievably satisfied after that one. Good to see our 4 key attackers (Suarez, Sturridge, Gerrard, Coutinho) all grab goals. Enrique for me was MOTM, he was fantastic. This was Lucas' best game of the year too, he may be on his way back to form at last. Back into 7th place we go!

    That's more like it. :)

35 attempts on goal today! Sturridge makes such a difference to our attack. LFC now are the first club in the Top 5 Leagues of Europe to have 500 shots in total this season! This was the first time in the Prem era that LFC had two different players score a penalty in the same League game.

Suarez was unstoppable today. One goal, couple of assists, and wins a penalty. Great to see Coutinho make an immediate impact in the Prem. Our January window purchases looking good from today's performances. A clean sheet, no yellow cards, Borini dislocated his shoulder which hurts a lot, but usually heals quickly.

Only Arsenal, Chelsea and Man U have scored more League goals than us this season, although we have played one more game than most. This is a big difference from the beginning of the season when we were very low scorers relative to other Prem teams. Hopefully we can have some more goals for us against Zenit.

Fabio Borini is likely to miss rest of season with shoulder injury, says Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers.

Since the mid-December loss to Villa, Liverpool has played five league games at Anfield, with 17 goals scored and two surrendered. Not bad.

Well! Liverpool can certainly play football...and score goals. Proving that the two things are not mutually exclusive for us.

So why was I so nervous until we scored 4???

Usually when I see a stat like: Shots on target- Lpool 20, Swans 2. I'd think that we're losing 0-2.
Having 2 wingers and 2 wingbacks perform, does wonders for us. Gerard and Lucas owned the midfield and our back line except for one scary moment 5 minutes in, did reasonably (alright, very) well.

The new kid looks promising, moves and plays well and he gets a goal on his debut, not bad.
Lazy bastard Pepe only made one save all game. Dump the bum.
A little concerned Sturridge couldn't put one of those chances away. He's not. as I've said before, a clinical scorer but he usually can make the most of those opportunities.
    Borini, humf...least said...
Good game for Downing, had his moments.

Definitely a team of winners today. I don't care who Swansea sat out, that's their management problem. Stevie G still ran the engine room but Luis was fukin' brilliant.

That's the hidden potential we have as a team. Lovely to see it come out the way it did. I think some of the players needed that confidence boost.

Gotta say Enrique's goal was the most beautiful thing since that 33-pass goal against Wolves a few years ago. And don't be fooled by the Swansea B team malarkey (I heard Stan Collymore on talkSPORT already badmouthing Laudrup). Swansea played better than WBA did on Moday but key difference was we took [some of] our chances for once.

Coady, I think Suarez was MOTM, far ahead of anybody however they were.

    Luis was MOTM

    Everyone played well.

Enrique, Coutinho, Suarez with well taken and worked goals

2 penalties given, although we deserved 4. I'll take it

    Coutinho looks a real player.

I would also like to highlight the good shift Henderson put in. With a bit more clinical work from Sturridge he could have had two assists from two brilliant passes.

Corners still scare me, both the taking of and the defending.

And after giving some criticism, it is fair to say that BR picked the right side and set them out well.

And I loved hearing the Kop sing team of Carraghers with 10 minutes to go

I just saw Enrique score a goal with his right foot. Enjoy this victory because I'm certain the world ends today.

Also, Rodgers out! No? Oh, I thought that's where we were on that...

Sturridge makes a hell of a difference doesn't he?

Won't be that arsed if we go out against Zenit. We have decent run of games coming up. Time to pick up some points.

    Nice one.
