...Vs... LIVERPOOL FC........VS........POND SCUM Simply put, if we can put some of those shots into the net, we can win.
Re: Liverpool FC vs Manchester Utd. FA Cup Sat Jan 28. [R] No. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/16707954.stm - Sums up Utd's current situation. No Liverpool focused article on BBC yet.
Re: Liverpool FC vs Manchester Utd. FA Cup Sat Jan 28. [R] BTW if any of you believe in good omens - It is my Father's birthday this Saturday. He is a lifelong Liverpool fan. He was at Wembley in 1978 and he absolutely hates Manchester United. Hopefully we win as it would be great birthday present!
Re: Liverpool FC vs Manchester Utd. FA Cup Sat Jan 28. [R] I hate watching us play them ... just hate it. My stomach gets in knots and I get pissed off before the match even kicks off. So glad it is an early kick off, but I probably won't sleep. My 18 month old and i will be up and we will let momma sleep. Let's hope i am in a good mood the rest of the day. Same line up as the City match for me. Good balance, Bellamy is on fire.
Hopefully between last nights big "win" and the team seething about the Suarez situation, we will go at them hard from minute 1.
The Kop was practicing this one last night (according to my nephew who was there): His first name is patrice..patrice patrice his second name is evra is evra is evra an he's a f--king liar a liar a liar...an that is why we hate him we hate him we hate him....woooooooah ohhhhhhhhhh woooooooah ohhhhhhhhhhh
Re: Liverpool FC vs Manchester Utd. FA Cup Sat Jan 28. [R] Any update on Spearing? Because I would prefer him in the line-up over the gap-toothed Scot. And Maxi in place of Downing.
Re: Liverpool FC vs Manchester Utd. FA Cup Sat Jan 28. [R] You too huh.. Even after all these years I still get like that, still expecting that freaky goal to screw us up. Like that early PK that '******** ronaldo' scored on us in one match. And we all know how that ended...!!!! And I sat there after the match emotionally drained. It takes a while to get over it, even with a win. Trouble is I can't go to the/a pub after the match to work it out. I hope you're in a great mood the rest of the day..
Re: Liverpool FC vs Manchester Utd. FA Cup Sat Jan 28. [R] If anything bad happens just remember not to throw him/her at the TV
oh no - don't ruin the lucas song with Evra's name - unless it has Lucas kicking the shit out of Evra
"We had to win" [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IGAusKj8FPI"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IGAusKj8FPI[/ame] I saw this video today and it's just the video for this match. I hope Suarez comes back and bags a hat trick.
That video gives me goose-bumps. I love that jersey. Probably the one I wear the most out of the four I own. Aurelio would still do better on free-kicks and corners than most of the team, including the set-piece "expert" - Charlie Adam.
As for the evra song, I would love to agree and sing along - except for the f****** part. The rest of it is great. They were all waiting for February and Suarez's return. But, God had other ideas. They have to come to Anfield first. lolololololol ! Seldom have I seen or heard such flimsy 'evidence' stand up anywhere... argggggghhhhhhhh Please. Please WIN LFC!
Good stuff. It wasn't very long ago, time-wise, but feels like a blast from the past. One of my favorite games I've ever watched as an LFC fan and I really thought we were going to go on and win the title. *sigh*
Oh man. I'm only in my sixth year of following LFC, and missed Istanbul (live, anyway--I've seen it on replay) and the distant glories of the '70s and '80s, so this may be my favorite game as a fan. Crushing Manchester United at Old Trafford, in the middle of a title race--glorious.
As great as that match felt at the time, I'd take Utd thumping us at Anfield if it meant a Prem title for Carragher and Gerrard. That whole 08-09 season was one long terrible nailbiting experience. It's definitely the season I remember the most.It had its ups like that match and thumping Real Madrid and its downs like the Arsenal match and losing to Chelsea in the CL. I still think thats the best Starting XI weve had in a long time.
