This is how the table would appear if looking at 2014 only:

A win eliminates Chelsea's chance to win the league.

Going to have trouble watching this one without holding hands over my eyes and peeking through every few minutes.

Also going to do my best not to read/hear any remarks out of Jose and the Chelsea camp this week. Thankfully they have the CL to deal with so that limits the number of days he can talk about this match.

Fuck off Chelsea, you ain't got no history.

    Nor class.

I hope we beat the absolute shit out of them with a 90 minute death by football performance and pure class from the supporters in the stands.

Have to wonder if things go well in Madrid does Jose rest his first team? This allows him to pontificate on about how big an advantage Liverpool have with no European football, and gets to make a case about needing money for the summer. And honestly at this stage they control their path in Europe but have 2 teams to leap frog in England. Thought he might do this even before the Sunderland game but now I would honestly be surprised if he doesn't.

Now having said that I don't actually think that is going to make the game any easier. If anything we have actually made harder work of games we were supposed to win.

wasn't the story that Etoo mainly plays at home as that's where all his goal come? In any event - no Etoo and a half fit Hazard are positive for us given that we will be without Hendo and might have a subpar Sturridge.

I'm so nervous about this game. It's not just that the title is so close (although of course that's a lot of it). It's that if there's one man I despise in football, it's Mourinho. He's a bully, a thug, and his teams play ugly, chippy, and petulant football. That was true at least toward the end of his first Chelsea term, it was certainly true at Real Madrid, and it's absolutely true now.

Win this and the title is won.

    Come on you Reds!

Hopefully Atleti will tire them out beyond repair.

So if Ramires gets suspended, is it possible that that's addition by subtraction for our opponent given the depth of their roster?

One of our advantages is pure team speed, and I tend to think of ramires as being one guy on Chelsea roster that can really run.

I'm annoyed there hasn't been any news about Ramires yet - this is an open and shut case.

I'm more confident than before Norwich. +2 win at least. It will be even better if Mourinho gets sacked after not winning anything this year. I hope for at least one penalty, I'd love to see that clown whinning again.

Looks like we'll be seeing Swartzer in goal on Sunday. Cech just got carted off v Athletico, and he was not fit going in today..

Things just get better and better for us. Don't like seeing him injured, he's one of the few Chelsea players I actually like, but in the end, if it's good for us, I'll take it.

I think Cech landed on his right elbow. Looked in pretty good pain when he walked off.
I am hoping for a 1-0 Athletico win. Should give Mourhino plenty to think about.

Regarding our game I hope Allen gets the nod in front of Lucas.

Question- Can Ramirez still be banned for this weekend?
