Can we stop listing Cordon, Cincotta, etc. until we get an actual acknowledgement from them that they will atleast consider playing for Guate?!
Dre, they both have considered playing for Guate, but our inept. Federation want them to pay for their own transportation and stay in Guatemala, dont you think Guate should provide that. Plus, Almeida dont want no foreigners that half Guatemalan n something else. He said and i quote, "they might play good in their clubs but that dont mean that they're better than Guatemalans that live in Guate". From last email he sent me.
So lets stop dreaming about them playing for us and get them off this list. These are dudes that rather play elsewhere and will only play for us as a last resort. That's the type of player we want?!
dez after reading guti's last post i think it's clear that what you just said isn't necessarily the case. you can't possibly fault them for wanting to go and play better club futbol, which is clearly found outside of guate. In a sense they had the opportunity that not many guatemalans had, but now its up to our fed to reign them back in to come and play for our NT. you can't possibly say they're not the type of players we want, when in the grand scheme of things they're the ones doing it right and our fed is the one who isn't
I agree with you Armada, we can't blame these kids that want to better themselves, they're Chapines even if they were born somewhere else, they're representing us wether we dont think of them as Guatemalans. I talked to Oscar Cordon and he himself told me that the Federation never contacted his agent, and i gave the information to the Federaton, so you cant say that these kids dont want to play for Guate. I believe that when Guate has a new coach, these kids will get called. Why waste talent like this, no surprise to me, Almeida is a person who doesnt like to look more than Guatemala, so to me it was a miracle that Galindo got called. Will he called him again, thats another thing.
Cincotta has said numerous times that he doesnt want anything to do with Guate.. that he wants to play with Germany.. I think he was even on their under 17 team.. So why is he on the list? Dont get me wrong, I would love for these guys to all one day acknowledge their Guate roots but dudes like Cincotta.. I'd rather not have him on here.

Cause this list it doesnt matter if they're being consider or not to the Sele, is just Guatemalan players playing abroad so it dont matter if they play for Guate or not is just Guatemalans playing abroad.
Just leave it as is for informational purposes. It's not supposed to be a list of 'convocables', right? More like a compilation of footballers everywhere who have guatemalan roots.

one of my friends here at school has a cousin who got recruited to play d1 soccer over at bucknell... i just met the kid and he seems like a nice guy but as soon as i get his name and maybe next fall when the bucknell athletics site is updated with the new rosters we can include him on this list too
