I don't think that it was related to the actual goal. I only saw one match with Arab commentators, it was the State Cup final with Bnei Sakhnin.

    Re: Ligat Ha'al 2008-2009

Another week another disgrace, this time we haven't managed to win a game against the team in the last place...Haifa won by an own goal, today is the important game by any means, Beitar want to revenge losing twice this year to Hapoel, the last game ended painful for Beitar fans, 4-0 crashed by Hapoel...
Today I'm sure the game will be different, Beitar can seriously put the top league on stress, while Hapoel can come closer to 1 point from Haifa...I guess we shall wait and see...

If Beitar didn't lose those 2 points for its retarded fans then a win today would put them in 2nd place. Beitar are regaining form and I predict 2:1 for Beitar today.

I'm watching them on Israeli TV (Channel 10), I'm in Israel at the moment.

By the way, next week the game between Netanya - Beitar is on SUNDAY! The IFA want to give our National Team some more time to train before the big game against Greece!

That would be simply incredible if Beitar should manage to defend the title after the huge lag they had some weeks ago.

The game between Netanya and Beitar will surely be decisive for both clubs regarding the championship chances ... and both need a win. Should be a hell of a game! :)

    Re: Ligat Ha'al 2008-2009

We hope for the win, we haven't beat Beitar in the league for 2 years!
Without the -2 points Beitar could have been in the 2nd place already...We have to admit they have the most quality squad in our league. After all, they have the biggest budget.

as a spectator this is great for everyone!
the race is back on at the top with 4 teams having a legitimate chance at the title!
This is what you want from the league!!
I am actually excited for every single result!
I think it will end like this

    Beitar
    M Haifa
    Hap TA
    Netanya

    Maccabi Netanya - Beitar Jerusalem 1-0 :D

Finally a win against our black sheep since last season. What a huge relief.
Netanya surely overplayed Beitar and could have score 4 more goals (happened to much this season...), Shechter and Nikosi were missing ridiculously in front of the goal...

I'm pretty happy with the team performance today, but it means nothing if we can't beat the small teams...

Congrats for winning this top match! Your chances are still alive now (thanx to Haifa's stupidity:), whereas Beitar suffered a huge setback after the impressive catch-up during the last weeks.

    Re: Ligat Ha'al 2008-2009

    Thanx.

Wow, what a "billard goal"! :D And later on even a so-called "Wembley goal" ...;)

You were a little bit lucky at the beginning, but should have scored more goals in the end.

PS: How does it come that the area outside the main stand wasn't sold out? Are the tickets that expensive in Israel?

    Re: Ligat Ha'al 2008-2009

The stadium is a big issue, because it's so old and an attractive. It's really not fun to have the central games there. The new stadium was suppose to be ready, but the company that building it keep delaying the work. So apparently we're stuck another season with this stadium...

There use to be another stand on the other side, but not anymore...The stadium is inside a neighborhood (wonder who ever thought it's a good idea...), so parking is also a problem. On top of all these problems, there's of course the prices, which are pretty expensive especially when you come with kids, all the expenses can come to 350 NIS (food, gasoline..etc)!
