Well the Honduras friendly is in San Jose, CR while the U-23 Final is in the US... unless you're talking about celebrating with people and enjoying the game in Honduras.. which I won't be surprised if Honduras U-23 comeback as champs again you'll see a parade the next day and a lot of people clogging the streets with fireworks and flags, especially in San Pedro Sula.. btw be careful, SPS has been labeled as death row recently by a lot of foreign analysts due to the rise in crime and carteles/maras. Uhhh there will only be one game during La Semana Santa..and unfortunately it will not be in Cortes or San Pedro Sula. It's C.D.S. Vida vs. Atletico Choloma, gonna be played in La Ceibeno en La Ceiba lol.. the date for the game is April 4th. hopefully I have been of use for you
Yes definitely referring to watching with locals/family in SPS for the national team games. No worries will catch them again soon. Is la ceiba worth a quick getaway if im in cortes, good atmosphere/fans?
La Ceiba is a great tourist spot. Its near Tela its on the coast. Probably a half hour drive from Cortes maybe a little bit longer. Vida is a classic team. Los Cocoteros. A lot of history behind them. They really own La Ceiba. idk if its gonna sell out or pack the stadium though.
Jornada 15: C.D. Victoria 5-1 Deportes Savio: a brace by Mauricio Copete, while Elmer Zelaya, Rigoberto Padilla, y Victor Mena all also scored for La Jaibas, while Jocimar Nascimento scored an early consolation goal for Savio. Atletico Choloma 1-0 C.D. Olimpia: Only goal of the game scored by Aldo Oviedo. C.D. Marathon 2-2 C.D. Platense: an early brace from Marco Tulio Vega for Marathon, while a late brace from Michel Rivera gave Platense an important one point. C.D. Motagua 1-1 C.D.S. Vida: Goal from Junior Padilla for Motagua, while a late equalizer came in the form of ex-Motagua striker, Charles Cordoba, for Los Cocoteros. Real Espana 1-0 C.D. Necaxa: only goal of the game scored by Uruguayan, Julio "El Palomo" Rodriguez.
Make-up game today: C.D. Victoria 2-0 C.D. Olimpia: Gols de Rigoberto Padilla y Felix Crisanto. This win basically just sealed Victoria's continuity in LINA, while also sealing C.D. Platense's passage to relegation. sidenote: K Golazo de ese chavo Felix Crisanto.. pero un verdarero joya de un gol. Great stuff from Victoria, they can smell salvation. They also made the top of the table interesting. On another note, I really do hate the 6 team playoff. It's too nice to mediocre teams.
Motagua didn't make La Liguilla last season.. and it seems these "mediocre" teams are starting to make La Liguilla interesting. I still think two of the big 4 will end up in the final.
Motagua was worse than mediocre last season with Primi in charge. And you misunderstood what I meant by mediocre. Atleti Choloma is not mediocre, Vida, Real España and Motagua are, specially considering the resources. Choloma might have a great season, but might have to end up playing La Maquina, and get eliminated over two games despite the work they did over the whole season. The 4 team exclusivity made the big teams not make mistakes, now they feel they can be shit and still be in the Liguilla. The way Motagua, Vida and Real Espana are playing, two of them should end up out of the Liguilla if the whole thing were fair, but they are all going in. By "mediocre" I did not mean small. I meant teams that being shitty still having a chance to win the title, even after being 5th place. It takes away from playing 18 home and away games.
Hopefully they expand the field to 12 then.. Thats what their planning on doing to save Platense's "categoria".
I just hate Liguillas. I wish we had a whole year tournament. Would be much more fun and would really determine who the better teams are. I hate the opening and closing stage way of Latin America, it's all about the money. More finals, more trophies. It diminishes the meaning of winning.
Jornada 16: C.D. Olimpia 2-2 Real Espana: Goles de Fabio de Souza y Reynaldo Tilguath for Los Albos, while Mario "El Zurdo" Martinez and Edder "El Camello" Delgado were in charge of equalizing for Real Espana. C.D. Platense 2-1 Deportes Savio: Own goal from Savio's Elroy Smith and a laser from Carlos Casildo gave Platense their first 3 points of the season in which sees them get relegated, while Josimar Nascimiento scored the only gol for Los Copanecos. C.D.S. Vida 1-1 Atletico Choloma: Gol de Charles Cordova for Vida, while Oscar Torlacoff was in charge of scoring for Choloma. C.D. Motagua 1-0 C.D. Marathon: Only goal of the game coming from Sergio Mendoza. C.D. Victoria 3-2 C.D. Necaxa: A brace from Mauricio Copete and an own goal from Juan Pablo Montes saw Los Jaibas walk out with a season saving 3 points, while Ruben Licona y Aly Luis Arriola scored for Necaxa. Welp.. storied club, C.D. Platense drown and get relegated to Liga de Ascenso next season, while C.D. Victoria se salvaron la categoria.
Jornada 17: C.D. Motagua 2-0 C.D. Victoria: Gols from Amado "El Lobo" Guevara, and the on-fire Carlos "El Chino" Discua. Real Espana 1-0 C.D. Platense: Only goal of the game from my homeboy Jairo Puerto. Atletico Choloma 2-0 C.D. Necaxa: Goles de Oscar Torlacoff y Franco Guity. C.D.S. Vida 3-3 C.D. Olimpia: All goals coming in first half for Los Cocteros as Rommell Quioto, Carlos Solorzano, y Charles Cordoba put Vida up 3-0 early, while Roger "El RoRo" Rojas, Ramiro "El Rata" Bruschi, y Juan Ramon Mejia were in charge of piecing together an impressive 2nd half comeback. Deportes Savio 1-1 C.D. Marathon: Gol de Josimar Nascimento for Savio, while Rommel Murillo scored for Marathon.
The Final Round of El Torneo Clausura: C.D. Motagua 4-1 Deportes Savio: Goles de Georgie Welcome, Junior Izaguirre, Marco Antonio Mejia, y juvenil, Ricardo Barrios, for El Ciclon while an own-goal from Motagua defender, Johny Galdamez, was the only way Savio salvaged a goal. C.D. Olimpia 4-0 C.D. Necaxa: A brace from Roger "RoRo" Rojas and further goals scored by Juan Ramon Mejia y Carlos Wil Mejia for Los Albos. C.D. Victoria 2-1 Real Espana: Goles de Mauricio Copete and Luis Jaramillo for Los Jaibas, while Julio "El Palomo" Rodriguez scored for La Makina. C.D. Platense 1-1 C.D.S. Vida: Gol de Byron Mendez for already relegated Platense, while Raul Santos scored for 6th placed Cocoteros. C.D. Marathon 1-1 Atletico Choloma: Marco Tulio Vega scored for El Monstruo Verde, while Franco Guity scored for Choloma.

Idiots.. complete disgrace to the organization that is Motagua and our proud fans who went just to enjoy game and not en un busca de un bronque.
