Average attendance per team according to Soccerway.com :
    http://us.soccerway.com/national/guatemala/liga-nacional/20132014/apertura/r21946/

The Estadio El Trébol is listed at 10k, but I thought it was more like 8k after the 2012 additions.
Carlos Salazar looks high too, I don't think it seats more than 11k.

Unfortunately my guess is that they will actually sell some 7000 tickets and not report the difference. I hope to be wrong.

Quite possibly the best goal of the tournament so far [1:18]. Municipal, however, failed to put this one to bed and ended up losing points to the last-placed team.

    Quarterfinals, first leg

Marquense's 3rd goal (by 22-year old Edwin Fuentes Leal, defender from Tiquisate) is phenomenal.

Due to suspensions and injuries, Comunicaciones might start an all-Guatemalan XI to face Marquense, which means 22 domestic players could start the semifinal tomorrow. Historic.

11' Yellow for JJ Márquez. Intense match with shoving and hard tackling.
16' First attack by the visitors, Campollo slides to make a shot but Rodríguez responds well.
22' FK by Grajeda from the left, 20m, low, to the far post of Paredes who saves spectacularly.
29' Out step cross by Contreras from the left, Rodriguez handles, JJMarquez grabs the rebound and shoots from 30m, but the local GK controls that as well.
32' Kenwi Velasquez outduels Castrillo, manages to cross. Subsequent CK from the right is innocuous, but a 2nd CK from the same side finds the head of Kincho Álvarez.
    33' GOL Marquense

39' Out JJ Marquez, in Brayan Ordóñez
45' Furious low showt from 30m (Contreras?), nice save by Rodríguez

48' Brown wins a ball in the area, bad marking by Enoc, Brown shoots right footed to far post, Paredes great deflection to CK.
59' Cross by Contreras from the right, GK controls and launches counter via Brown, who beats Enoc again and also the next guy, but crosses too hard and wide.
Attendance is reported at 9300 by national TV.
67' Great first touch by Arreola towards goal, he is fouled. FK taken from 25m by Contreras, 1m too high.
78' Contreras fouls Brown, 30m FK is taken by Edwin Fuentes in a similar fashion as the goal he scored vs. USAC, but not as accurate or strong.
85' Grajeda wastes a free kick from the right, sends it wide.
88' Very harsh foul by Castrillo on Kenwi V. Castrillo out for the 2nd leg on yellow cards suspension.

Final: Marquense 1-0 Comunicaciones. Second leg to be played Saturday at the Mateo Flores. Best players of the Game were Johnny Brown and el Cholo Noriega, IMO. I don't think it's going to be enough for Marquense to make it to the final, but, we'll see.

Heredia trashes Municipal 3-0 on the first leg of that other semifinal, and it could have been a greater difference based on the footage below. Golazos by Shaka Shaka and Miranda.

Comunicaciones 4-0 Marquense (4-1 agg.). GK J.J. Paredes equalized the series via PK. Late in the 2nd half, a great goal by Jairo Arreola put it to bed.

Congratulations to Marquense, Paco Melgar took them pretty damn far considering their predicted fate at the beginning of the season was relegation. Hopefully they pick up some endorsements and continue the great work.
