Juve is the best team left but Benfica is right there. Maybe by the time the 1/8 round is done, the league will be all but over?

You are giving juventus too much credit. I'm pretty sure Benfica will run circles around them.

Juventus are not that good no Italian team has been that good for almost a decade. At even at best, none of the teams remaining are better but many are at par or nearly enough so.

That midfield is boss this season, and Tevez has given them what they've been missing up front. Me giving praise to an Italian team comes once in a blue moon

Trying to be pragmatic/realistic here: Serie A currently is not what it was. Hell, Juve struggled in a "meh" group in the Champions League. That being said, I don't think it's easy to dispute that they're the top contender in the Europa League...with us half a step below.

Got Juventus in the semis. Benfica was probably going to play them eventually, so at least they got a game at home out of it. To be honest, I'm relieved it's not Sevilla.

Let's see if @VicVR6 is right about Benfica runnings circles around them

I'm still sticking with my statement. Unless JJ gets all experimental and screws up the strategy, Benfica will win. You guys are relentless in attack. Juve won't know how to cope.

I'm gonna have to agree with Vic watching Juventus play Thursday i wasn't very impressed. For some reason I thought they were a lot better.

Does anyone know when the tickets will go on sale for the first leg against Juve? I may not be looking in the right places on the official site, the only tickets I can see to buy right now are for the Portugese cup match against Porto.

Italian soccer is on the decline right now. Juve has a strong team but they can't cope with a team that will be relentless with their attacks.

Vic, I think you're underestimating Italian football mate.
Time will tell if you are right but I'm the last person who wants a SLB victory.

I'm not exactly Benfica's cheerleader but just stating that Italian soccer is crap right now. Sure, Juve can beat Benfica but I'm not convinced.

Champions indeed. Congrats to SLB fans.

My motto for the NHL is anyone but the Habs and for football it is anybody but Zabordem Club de Chorar also commonly known as the Zabordem clube the Kleenex. Let's just hope now that the Habs get their ass licked next round.

But seriously, just wondering if anyone could tell me who sells 2013-2014 Benfica merchandise in the Toronto area??? Not for me but for my old man.

    Cheers

Congratulations guys. You were the best team this year (by a mile). Hopefully we can challenge you next year.

Juve already was going to be a tough team for us, now we have three injuries to key players. I now have to give Juve the edge. Not by much though

Only because my dad is a hardcore Benfica fan :p

In all seriousness, my blue glasses do come off and Benfica were the best this year. The only person that won't admit to that is PDC, the Porto pres.

No need to thank me, I speak the truth. You guys were miles better. Porto won't be back next year. Too much damage to repair. Maybe in 2 seasons. As long as you guys have JJ, we have to be perfect.
