im thinking black and white ala Juve for home, not sure about away. I think that the mexican-freetail bat should be included in the overall theme of the club. 1. they are all over town and 2. just outside the city is one of the largest bat populations in the world. most people other than residents of SA will know this. it also give the team a local mascot not having to do with the alamo which im sure will be all over the club and crest design. thats all i can think of for starters. saw the thread and had to put my input travis 250 crocketteer member
i think the question is which colors CAN'T we use. if we don't have anything to do with SS&E, can we even use black/white or silver/black? i like it when a city has all of it's teams the same colors (pittsburgh does it perfectly) but can we have those colors? i'm okay with a black and gold like the missions have but really wish we could stick with silver and black. vertical stripes.
Besiktas had a really sweet black and silver curvy/diagonal stripe jersey but they scrapped it for a horizontal stripe version: Besiktas's traditional uniforms are basically the same as Juve's.
I think it would be good to look at some of the colors from the old San Antone teams. I couldn't find a Pumas, Heat or International jerseys, but here are some of the Thunder's jerseys:
of my old mock ups, these are my favorites: If the silver/black has to be used I'd love to see something like Juve's Away from last year:
NO BLACK/WHITE please!!! You know what looks crappy..... a stadium full of people with white jerseys You can't tell whether or not people are wearing the team's jersey. Compare that to teams that use solid colors.
Just saw this from this past weekend ... would work if the team wanted to tip the cap to the military nature of the city:
That's nice, I always say "Dark color jerseys 2nd color should always be bright" Just as an example of that... Venezuela's jersey. (white and gold lines)
Some of those mock-ups in the Crocketteers' brown colors look sharp. Very unique combo and plays to the desert-ish color scheme of Texas.
Here's my favorite jersey for San Antonio. It was the 2nd jersey of "Sport Clube Recife" from Brasil about 3 years ago.
This Thunder jersey was ahead of its time. Classic stripes, with the numbering inside the circle of stars. Has to be better than any 1980s-1990s puke and putrid darkside designs ... Please, no Clash, Burn, Wiz ...
It's easier to find yellow jerseys on the internet than golden ones. Here's a few designs that I liked Arsenal Newcastle
