Thanks for the welcome. Can't say i don't like a good steak and a beer or four, goes down even better while watching barca win.
Hi everyone. I'm from Vietnam (wonder if there have been any other). I've been a Barca fan since 2005 (because of Ronaldinho, obviously). Now that Ronnie's gone, they're still my favorite team because I'm in love with their style of playing, and their talented superstars. I hope to contribute to this board every now and then. Anyway, Visca el Barca!
Hello et3rnal, i am not aware of any other posters from Vietnam! That makes you our main man there. Welcome to the board!! Looking forward to seeing your contribution
Hello New to the boards, long time Barca, and Arsenal fan. Just came back from Barca and my first visit to the Nou Camp. Incredible. Now to figure out a way to move to Barca or at least visit when there are games being played! ~Nick
Much love and respect for what Barça means as a club and as a symbol. ¡MES QUE UN CLUB! I can't wait to see Barça play and hope David and Messi can make a great pair.
Didn't know where to post this... Anyone heard from Hendrixforpope? He's hasn't been around for a while.
Just yesterday, I was thinking we hadn't seen Hendrix around for a while. Anyone ever talked to him off bigsoccer?
If the incoming Christmas money is nice and my beginning of the year work bonuses come in nice, there is a chance I will be spending from May 5-10 in Barcelona to do my first sight seeing of the city along with taking in the match against Espanyol. I hope to make 2 Europe trips in a year with my usual over 2 weekend long trip being later in the year around September so I think if I plan on going to Barcelona for first time, it would fit nicely during my shorter length trip just to get my feet wet in the Barcelona pool. Not 100% guaranteed but maybe.
Hey guys, I started following barca when Ronaldinho was on the team. I didn't get to see very many games though back then because I didnt have any cable channels and couldn't find anywhere to watch online. I really started watching them in their Treble winning season because I bought the FSC and GOL TV package from my cable provider. I have seen almost every game over the past 2 and a half seasons. I've been reading these forums for about a year now and decided it was time to jump in and post my thoughts on the greatest team of all time.
I definitely loved adding ESPN Deportes and Gol tv a few years ago as it is nice to be able to see every match.
I am digging all the conversational input all over this Barcelona forum I was curious if anyone else is a member over here- http://www.fcbes.com/forum/index.php Oh, I also hope there are some vegetarian restaurants or at least places where a veggie eater can enjoy some food around Barcelona.
I occasionally went there a couple of years ago, posting the starting lineups and checking out the 'historical' section. My handle was (is) "Basel79" but, as I mentioned, it's been around 2/3 years since I posted there. Decent forum that I think is based in the UK (didn't notice too many Americans there). Btw, Welcome to Big Soccer.
There are some over there. I am on that forum. I think I have been there 2 years. I have also been on big soccer for a couple years now but always enjoy a good welcome.
Sure there are places to eat vegetarian, but I can't recall the streets. Google it and I'm sure you'll find them. There's a falafel/fries place on Carrer Ferran, close to the intersection with La Rambla. You won't regret getting something there. Not really a restaurant, though they have one or two tables in the corner. Just for a snack, get the fries. They come in a paper cone, with mayo if you want. Unbelievably delicious!!! Falafels are served in a huge, thick pita style bread. You then get to stuff it with whatever you want from the extensive condiment bar. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.... A trio, includes felafel, fries and drink (soft drink, juice, water, or BEER). Costs about 5 or 7 euros.
