Funny little story going around in MEN that RvP and Phil Neville both opted to have their kids train at Manchester City. It makes sense to an extent, i.e. avoiding nepotism if they are here, or the opposite if their parents leave - just funny to hear.

Our coaching at the youth levels has taken a hit with Moyes bringing his yes men from Everton all equipped with ipads.

Well at least we may see Kagawa or Mata in the hole and Rooney up top.

I hate to say this but it might be for the best if it gets Rooney out of that role he's been playing.

Now should be Mata in the hole.

Also I've come to grips with the fact RVP might actually be sacrificed for Rooney just because of marketing and not because of ability.

Moyes isn't that smart. He'll start Danny up top and keep Rooney behind him.

United just posted a video of him doing rehab on Facebook. Seems to be moving pretty well. When did they say he was projected to return? I guess at this point it probably makes sense to keep him out with the WC this summer.

I feel no emotional attachment to rvp. We poached him because he thought we were in a better position than arsenal and he'll leave if he can go to a better situation now. That's ok.

I rip into Rooney once or twice a season but at least he will play if needed. RvP has a five page check-list that concludes with him checking his daily horoscope before deciding whether to bother playing or not. I doubt he will deem it 'right' to reappear this season and I am not particularly bothered if does not reappear next season. I also doubt we would see a remember me video if this was not a World Cup year.

So basically now, we're stuck without a World class striker.

Im comfortable with rooney backed up by cheech. Goals from the 9 spot will not be a problem. If anything, it would force Moyes to play Mata in the hole.

We can barely scrape together a couple of very good players so I wouldn't worry about it.

Hernandez is not and won't be good enough. And Rooney won't play as the 9 with Moyes as the manager.

I'd rather actually have better than just the busy Rooney...

But we're clearly stuck with him, so no point in discussing it.

Hernadez is good enough. If its just about goals and no one cares about hold up play, and bringing others into play, then Rooney is barely better than Hernandez really as a no. 9.

There's no way to tell, but I'd put my money on Cheech outscoring Rooney if both players played with the same team behind them and the same number of starts.

All the other attritbutes Rooney gets praised for, are useless or secondary at striker.
