    WHY under any circumstances?

Regardless of today's outcome, I'm sure we won't be outclassed the way the gooners were - no shots on goal, 15% possession etc etc

We'll take a vote. The only reason Jum is still around is because of seniority.

A couple of weeks ago, Mr Wenger was complaining that Arsenal had too many fixtures to fulfil and his players were all tired and shagged out from playing so many games.

Well, The Fizzy Drinks Cup is now out of the way, He can chalk off any more Champions League fixtures this season and it's not out of the question that Manchester United will give them FA Cup weekends off until next January.

Your fixture list is looking a little less congested, Arsene. Happy now..?

    Serious question guys.

What do Arse bandwagoners call the day when they mathematically beat us in the league on occasion? St Totteringham's day or something?

So what is the day called when Arse can't mathematically go further in Europe than us?

    St Arsenilout Day?
    Pagan Defoe Medium fulfilment day?

    Suggestions???
And who will post the Happy .... ..... day! message on their forum like they enjoy doing to us?

laugh at arsenal all you want ... but leaving a thread like this up as a monument to our superiority over a team that's well above us in the table, and significantly more likely to pick up silverware this year than us is just a bad idea.

i enjoyed yesterday, and i'm loving today. but this thread bites.

They always put the boot in whenever they can, so I have no intention of not throwing my size 11's into their ribs when I get a chance.

As for them being likely to win something LMAO. Wash your mouth out. That's out of line.

oh, i understand that. i just don't like that it's a thread ... a 'keepsake', if you will. if folks here want to use it, that's their prerogative. but i'll be mildly shocked if it doesn't make us look stupid at some point in the near future.

It's interesting how a bit of success (and I use that term liberally as we haven't won anything yet) suddenly brings out many new, how should I say this, "confident" fans. Not just here but even at the local pub where I now see more Spurs jerseys on new faces than I ever have before.

That's all good & expected but please don't make yourselves into the bandwagoners a la Man U, Arse, Chelski. Yes they gloat at every opportunity and are some of the biggest sore losers around. Don't be like them. Let's keep Spurs classy. The time will come to rub their faces in it and yeah they do deserve it. But don't get ahead of yourselves.

1/4 Finals... Who would've thunk it? COYS! :D

Because to love Tottenham is to hate Arsenal - you can't have one without the other....it's that simple mate. I can only assume you are a Spurs fan who's not from the UK...if so fair enough, but anyone who has Spurs blood in their veins hates Arsenal - I could give you so much history of why (hopefully you don't need to know that) ....there is nothing wrong whatsoever in a thread like this, a little inter-club rivalry is fun.....relax!

New to posting on here - yeah sure....new to Tottenham? - I am third generation Spurs, been to over 50 games in my life so over confident? No...Been through decades of PAIN following Spurs, a few years of glory and joy, but wouldn't change any of it.

Certainly hate Arse and there's nothing wrong with rivalry banter but I think the point is at least wait until we've done our bit before gloating on their shortcoming... It just tempting fate and any long time Spurs fan like yourself knows that. By all means have at it now... But we still have a lot to prove. Let's hope for more pleasant surprises in the league & CL.

Beaten them twice on the spin in league play, lost only once in the league in the last 3 seasons.... won a trophy more recently than them..... progressed further in Europe than they have this year...

Yeah I'll spare a quick chuckle.

no, mate, i don't. i've been spurs for well over 30 years. no quarrels with any of that love/hate stuff, though ... i'd cheer for the devil's own XI if they lined up opposite the arse.

not at the moment, anyway. however, it won't always be thus. it's just my opinion, of course, but the simple fact is that i think their (the arsenal forum's) perpetual running gag of having a 'spurs thread' makes them spend alot of time (like now, for example) looking fairly daft. and i'd just prefer that we didn't, that's all. not much different than should we start calling our players JJ8, RP9, or whatever else, like they and others do. nothing's inherently wrong with it ... ya just look retarded, that's all.

still ... it's not my forum, so again, anyone who wants to enhance this testament to our superiority over them, fill your boots.

    couldn't agree more.

no worries there, matey. i'm only a pint or two from fully relaxed. :D

    carry on.

I have always thought the fact that they have named a day based on us is small-minded in the extreme, and gives lie to their constant claims that we are "forever in their shadow".
