Dude, do you really care what the users of a local channel website think about the Dynamo and real football? Having said that, I signed up and voted hell yeah
Don't know if this deserves a thread of its own: Should we care about these two polls? From Channel 13: Should the Dynamo be given their own soccer-only stadium? http://abclocal.go.com/ktrk/front Can the Dynamo be considered a dynasty after having won back-to-back MLS championships? http://abclocal.go.com/ktrk/story?section=soccer&id=5313171#poll The question to the first poll is badly written. "given" sends a wrong message to the non-soccer community and more ammunition to those who are against. Wouldn't be a bad idea writing to Channel's 13 editor to complaint about this. What do you think people? Should we even bother?
poor wording-agreed, let's face it the majority of Houstonians still see us as a niche sport that caters to foreigners, gasp-people who speak languages other than English (German- but we know what's it's all about
You know, what really p***** me off is that ABC/ESPN have the multimillion contract with MLS and Channel 13 does absolutely nothing to put a report about Dynamo. My respects and my attention go to Channel 11 for sending Matt Musil to DC.
well they did have a report tonight about the stadium-where Mr. Luck stated that "As an old Oiler, I will not let the team be moved to Tennessee if they do not get a stadium"-of course that is good because we all know what a hot bed of soccer that state is. But he didn't say anything about St. Louis!
channel 13 had a big report on the stadium tonight at 6:30. deal is just about done. 25,000 seats 100 million dollars 65% pvt funds 35% public funds no tax increase announcment expected before christmas
They are covering the team now, but I think it's because they want to get a piece of the pie. All of the sudden, you send a reporter to Robertson stadium for the news everyone wants to know about. It's just the momentum. They have had almost 10 months (since Feb. when we played Puntarenas and Pachucha in Concacaf) to report something. I really think we have to demand more from Bob Allen, Tim Melton, and Bob Slovak. If the parent Company is doing more for soccer, they must do their part locally by devoting more time to the Dynamo.
YES!!!! Let's never have a sellout again! Why screw around with tiny stadiums at all? Let's build a 90,000 seater, and really accommodate that expanding fanbase of ours! Don't forget to put at least 30,000 of those people in a terrace behind the goal, for a true European experience.
