    No reason was mentioned, could have various reasons (security, Iraq's home game in the UAE and not in Syria)...

    Anyway we're playing China and Thailand away so its alright, good that the Bahrain game was cancelled. No need of playing them.

    It has just turned into 2008. So a happy new year to all. :)

    Short summary of what happend in 2007:

    Two players from Nejmeh - Hussein Damaq (24) and Hussein Naeem (19) - died during the blast in Beirut last June. RIP guys, we'll never forget you.
    • Lebanon NT reached the third round of the Asian World Cup Qualification, getting past India (4-1 win Home, 2-2 Draw away)
    • Lebanon OT qualified to final round of qualification for the second straight time. Was the only team to beat North Korea in Pyongyang, but in the end they ended last in their group.
    • Lebanon YT qualified to the Asian Cup 2008. First time in our history. :)
    • Ansar won their 13th title in the league, also won the Cup later.
    • Nejmeh reached the Semi-Finals of the AFC Cup for the thrid straight time.
    • Lebanon Futsal NT reached the Quarter Finals of both Asian Cup and Asian Indoor Games.
    • Lebanon WNT played three international matches during the 2007 WAFF.

    hopefully the 2008 year, the lebanese national team will break through and start getting in the mix with the better teams and start producing better players where they can play abroad

    not a bad game, we got to tighten the defense but the set for the second goal was great keep it up!!!!!

    حصل منتخب لبنان الأول الذي زار الكويت مؤخراً على عدد من المساعدات العينية الكروية المقدمة من مسؤولي الإتحاد الكويتي لكرة القدم.

    وتضمنت المساعدات أكثر من عشرين شنطة للوازم الكروية إلا أن المثير في الأمر أنه عند وصول بعثة المنتخب إلى بيروت اختفت كل هذه المساعدات بشكل مريب بدون أي رقابة!

    KUALA LUMPUR – The first leg of the AFC Asian Cup 2011 Round One qualifier between Lebanon and the Maldives will take place in Lebanon on April 9, with the return fixture taking place in the Indian Ocean republic on April 23.

    The venues and kick-off times for both matches have yet to be finalised.

    The two sides last met in 2004 in the preliminary round of 2006 FIFA World Cup qualifiers with Lebanon winning 3-0 at the Beirut Municipal Stadium in June before hammering the 2003 SAFF Championship runners-up 5-2 in the return fixture in Male three months later.
