excellent news today, we've sent Baronio on loan to Udinese in exchange for Mauri on loan. Mauri will slot into Cesar's left wing spot, while Baronio was third choice behind Dabo and Mudingayi anyhow. Lazio is desperate for wingers with Behrami hurt and Cesar on the outs. http://www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/jan17h.html We're also very interested in winger Bonanni from Palermo, who would be made available after Palermo seals a deal for Semioli from Chievo. I expect Cesar to Inter and Sereni out somewhere before too long also.
Inter swoop for Lazio duo http://www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/jan23c.html Wow...like I'm so shocked. Inter takes more players from Lazio. Question for everyone on here: Do you HATE Inter for constantly taking tons of your talented players? I'm just curious.
No, not at all..this is great. These players stink. Inzaghi was 5th choice at striker...and Cesar has been a bust for 2 seasons now. Newcomer Mauri will be better than Cesar at LM right away...and these 2 young players from Inter (that Lazio owns 50% now) are exactly the type of future investments the club needs. More Behrami, Pandev types....less washed up 30yos...
Didn't know they were working out so well? Haven't seen a Serie A match in over a month! We moved and the basic free cable in corporate housing doesn't have ANY football. I'm in agony.
Inter can keep Favalli, Mihajlovic, etc. If we could only have Stankovic back though...........and why not Veron too.
More talk of Cesar possibly going to Inter, Di Canio to England and numerous others to leave at the end of the year. http://www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/jan30k.html
He's much maligned but I think Lotito did some good business today: Cesar went to Inter for 50% ownership of 2 youth players, including a midfielder Quadri seen as ready for serie a soon. Midfielder Bonanni comes from Palermo on loan with an option to buy 50% in June. He can play either wing, I've seen him a few times...a pretty good player. Sereni goes to Treviso for young GK Handanovic both on loans. So the 2 major headaches are gone with some young talent in return. Co-ownship deals they best you can do when you have no money. http://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/index.php?action=search§ion=1 http://www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/jan31k.html
I see Inter really are dead set on becoming the Former Lazio All Stars. Now all Chelsea need to do is buy Adriano in return for Crespo and the circle will be complete.
apparently the Pandev blind auction with Lazio/Udinese is June 21...thats a big blow if we lose him. After that and the scandal clears, I expect some decent additions out of Lotito or to be embarassed in europe again.
Lazio, and the others, needs to worry about what charges will be brought against them tomorrow. This will most certainly effect their transfer campaign.
We don't have much of a transfer campaign - we feed off whatever scraps we can scrounge. Liverani and Dabo gone - now the center of defense as well as central midfield is a hole. Splendid.
roundup to the best of my recollection right now: out: Dabo to Man City and Liverani to Fiorentina. we've won the bids with udinese for Pandev and Belleri...and apparently agreed to terms with them to buy out the deals for Mauri and Cribari. defensive midfielder Mutarelli will sign from palermo, while ledesma seems close from Lecce. There's your new center mid pairing. All pending we stay in serie a of course. Lazio still is interested in Makinwa from Palermo as well. He would be the 3rd striker behind Pandev/Rocchi.
We've signed Ledesma! He said he'd follow us to B, if necessary. Finally some good news! http://www.ilmessaggero.it/view.php?data=20060706&ediz=01_NAZIONALE&npag=37&file=C.xml&type=STANDARD
he might be, apparently they'd like a better player as a 3rd striker. then again if Lazio goes down to B Tare would likely be first choice up top
Well, Paolo Di Canio is offiically gone. After failing to renew his contract, he accpeted a move to Serie C2 side Cisco Roma.
I think it's a good thing that Lazio is looking in the right direction and not spending all kinds of money on big names... They're developing their youth team and selling most of the big names... It's gonna take a few years but Lazio WILL get back to the powerhouse they once were..
